I've already made a couple of posts about Worlds of Magic, described as a spiritual successor to Master of Magic by the developer, because I can never quite have my fill of magical 4X games. So, I'm pretty happy to see that it reached its Kickstarter target of £30,000 today, with a week left.

Wastelands Interactive has added a few stretch goals, going up to £60,000, but most of them remain a mystery. Two of them have been revealed, however, and Worlds of Magic will get a seventh faction should it reach £33,000, and 20 roaming creatures if it manages to secure £40,000.

I'll be checking out the beta once that phase of development begins, so keep an eye out for that in the near future.

The Humble Bundle is always good value for money but it differs for person to person; is it worth buying a bundle that includes several games you already own? Maybe, but I know I'll be getting the new Humble Jumbo Bundle for ...more

Crookz puts a '70s heist movie spin on tactical gaming

A tactical game with a '70s heist movie theme? Finding something like that at gamescom is about as unlikely as finding a videogame trailer with porn star Ron Jeremy in it. But here we are with both. more

Invisible, Inc.'s tactical espionage action hits Early Access August 19

Invisible, Inc. is going to be one of my obsessions this year. Enough that I am actually going to play a game while it's in Steam Early Access (PC, Mac) rather than waiting for the hard launch. Plus, it will be priced at $16 while in Early Access before bumping up to $20 at launch.more
