new PUG heroics are shorter from what i've heard, which is a good thing, 20 mins to PUG EndTime on the PTR, and like ICC's, you need to complete the chain to proceed in the LFD system.
so that's 15mins for a guild, and 45 mins to PUG once it goes live. at least they learned that people dislike PUGs and that their playerbase are full of inherent jackasses that expect to 2 shot heroics without working at it.
they also added Transmog, which will only be visible if you visit a mailbox or auction house, and at least people can't transmogrify their daggers, axes and swords into fishing rods or halibut for the lulz. though, at least they would have got it out of their system if it were possible.
so now, the real damage is not RP or decorating Raid/PvPer's into less absurd gear, it will be the ppl tearing through old quests to create "sexy" mailbox dancing undead/trolls/worgen in bikinis. at least there's no male blood elf in bikini horror costuming options allowed so far. but it is only day 1 of the PTR, so expect nightmare fuel any day now.
Void Storage is OVER 9000!!!!1!11 gold to store 80 items with 100g deposit and 100g withdrawal costs, each time. either purely awesome. or bastardly expensive.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say you will see the final patch released extremely close to, if not day and date with, the launch of TOR. Just a hunch.

They were losing a lot of peoples interest with their Cataclysm PUGs. I know, people complain that losers couldn't be carried through them any more. The thing is, it appealed to casuals and you didn't wreck an hour of play trying to find a random PUG, only to have a terrible player ruin it all. I think the general consensus was that Lich King dungeons were better, not just from difficulty but also length. If you got a bad group, it wasn't a huge deal. With Lich King, I could log in and get a PUG in like 2 minutes. I'd be done with it in 25 minutes, and accomplished something for the night.
Dailys and PVP (ugh) took the place of that, and aren't nearly as fun. Why do any PUG when the newest PVP gear is better? Nobody, that's who. Forcing casuals to PVP, when it's people that don't like to PVP, is the quickest way to drive them away.
