Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Oh well. Expect to hear more stories about people getting robbed of hundreds of days of their lives when their WoW accounts are stolen.
With the recruit a friend system, you could level pretty easily with them. It's worth a shot.
Grab the original for like $10 - you'll probably take 3-4 weeks to get to 60, then you can decide whether or not to buy the expansions.
I've tried to play it before (and a few other MMOs), but it's just not my thing. I may eventually give it another shot, though.
If you need an Authenticator, you can buy it already. If you already have one what could you do with another?
Pointless to give it with x and y bundles.
Trading card games are damn addicting. I played this one with friends for a while. It was fun. Though, beware, it may lead to better games like Dungeons and Dragons. Seriously, does anyone else play D&D?
The game starts at 80 :D
I'd recommend giving the game another shot once Cataclysm comes out. Having found that something like 70% of trial players quit the game before even reaching level 10, Blizzard's made a huge effort in remaking the entire 1-60 experience, with a special emphasis on fun and epicness right from the get-go (and not after months of grinding).
Gone are the archaic design philosophies of EQ-era MMOs, and in are mechanics and experiences that are fun and full of depth. (I mean, whose bright idea was it that too much fun in the first few levels diluted the rest of the game?)
This CE will sell out quick.
It's not really Blizzard anymore, it's Actiblizzard so I can't say I'm too surprised...
But since I usually get these for the artbooks and soundtrack (the extra cost is about the same as buying those items later anyway), it's not a big deal.
WoW removes all that problem.
Sounds good. My friends are willing to go so far as to buy it for me to get me to try it again, so I might take them up on their offer for a month or two. God knows where I'll find the time, though.
