World at War map packs squeezed into a bundle photo

The three map packs for Call of Duty: World at War have been absurdly successful. We are talking millions of downloads here, folks. At $9.99 per add-on, that's a whole lot of moolah for Activision and Treyarch. I'm going to shut up about how popular these things are in just a minute, so bear with me.

As of today, a bundle containing all three DLC packs is being offered worldwide on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and in the US and Canada on PlayStation Network. Europe isn't getting this mega package for PlayStation 3 until January 7, for whatever reason.

The price is 2000 Microsoft Points or $24.99 in actual currency. That's only a few bucks off the price of buying the three map packs individually, but we'll take what we can get these days. Still, with nine multiplayer maps and three co-op zombie maps, you're getting a good amount of content for the money.

$25 for nine maps and three co-op zombie maps? Better spent the money on the Steam Holiday Sale that's going on!

A poor attempt to try and squeeze the last little bit of money out of people who are for some reason playing this game still.

It is a good game, far better than MW2, worth the money.

If it were $10 for the three, I'd buy it. As it is now, screw that.

I wasn't aware people still played WaW. It wasn't bad, but the WW2 aspect was dead 2 games beforehand. The entire time I played WaW, all I wanted was a different setting. Any other war.

Hell, I'd even take the Cold War.

I got 2 of them when they were $5 each. This doesn't se like a great deal.

That's a ripoff, considering they were on sale for cheaper a couple months ago.

If they really wanted to make money, why don't they just make a new zombie map? That's all people buy the packs for anyway.

Merry Fucking Christmas to you too, Activision.

I thought the game was great, but the way they implemented the map packs to the online play where I would get kicked out of 90% of the matches (on XBLA) because of a missing map... well that encouraged me to return the game, which I did, and instilled on me a sense to NEVER EVER buy a game that does that. Don't have to put up with that shit on COD4 on PSN, what were they thinking?

Whoa, people are still playing this game? Do they know MW2 came out a bit ago?

@FinnE
Yeah - they're the people not stupid enough to pay over the average RRP for a campaign half the length, and a multiplayer half the fun of the original MW.

For like 90% of the world it's the same price as "average": $60
5 hours isn't half of 8, and I find the MP as enjoyable if not more. Needs more maps, hopefully pretty soon.

If everybody would stop trying to break the game it'd be infinitely more fun.
