We’re late on this, but it’s definitely too coo not to share. Below the fold is a full motion comic (courtesy of GameTrailers) for Wolfenstein 3D. The comic features B.J. Blazkowicz doing his thing: escaping from an evil Nazi prison, popping skulls with stolen arms, and shredding MechaHitler with a chaingun.

The wonderful visuals and artistry displayed in the comic got us thinking. What if Wolfenstein 3D was “remixed” to look like the comic? Logistics aside, we think it would be a wonderful way to deliver the Wolfenstein experience without betraying its roots. The recent downloadable rereleases on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network were too faithful. The title hasn’t aged well -- the shooting is loose and the graphics are spectacularly bland.

Anyway, check out the comic if you're a Wolf fan. It's totally worth your time.

Wait a minute, are those wolves? I thought they had confirmed that there would be no wolves in Wolfenstein! Or was it just that you wouldn't play as a wolf? Or are those just regular dogs?

wolfenstine had the best death screams, ever!
also those are the dogs that were in the first game.
nothing like stabbing a dog in the face.

Man, the Nazis always seem to lose in every video game they're in. I'm surprised that they don't just give up instead of fighting to the bitter end. You gotta admit though, that's dedication. Will the Nazis every realize their dream and actually win one day? Or will they be doomed for eternity to lose every time for all of video game history?

Oh, let me see. First, the art style; I've seen this done so many times it's uninteresting already. And people still do it way better (manga.clone-army.org, for instance). Second, the 3D mixed with 2D animations just don't click. It's like he wanted to do 3D for all of it, then figured it took a lot of time and did a little 2D sliding instead.

Apart from that, it just wasn't interesting. I guess I read too many comics already.
