I wouldn't go so far as to say that Wolfenstein 3D coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade is the worst-kept secret ever, but it's certainly up there. Activision has finally gone on the record to say that not only does it exist, but that the game is also planned for a PlayStation Network release.
No word on pricing yet (don't go over $10, guys!), but Wolfenstein 3D is hitting on June 3 and 4 for XBLA and PSN, respectively. Originally, I had thought these latest ports were just going to be an easy way to hype up Raven's upcoming Wolfenstein.
While that's sort of true, actual work is being put into the marketing effort. Interestingly enough, players who buy and play the classic game can "earn accolades and be awarded gold for customizable weapon upgrades in id Software's all new Wolfenstein." Who doesn't like gold?
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.
