Wits & Wagers on XBLA this Wednesday photo

The ongoing trend of group-oriented games hitting Xbox Live Arcade will continue this week with the release of Wits & Wagers (800 Microsoft Points), a trivia party game based on (you guessed it) a board game.

Wits & Wagers comes packed with 700 trivia questions, requiring you to bet on whichever player's answer you feel is correct, meaning you could totally win by using your friend's intellect to your benefit. This sounds like something I could get behind.

If you happen to own one of those Big Button Pad controllers, it's worth knowing that Wits & Wagers does support the peripheral, as well as multiplayer for 4-player offline and up to 6-players online.

Do you get to vote people off a la The Weakest Link? If not, then I'm not interested.

I'd rather have Jeopardy or Trivial Pursuit for $10. Or go to a bar and play Quizzo for free, with the chance of actually winning something.
