Yesterday, here in New York City, I was able to attend the Microsoft Windows Vista press event in Times Square. After waiting out in the cold for way too long, I was let inside a place of wonder and magic ... and oh yeah, free booze.

I'm going to buy it when it's free (and maybe when it's stable). Which has never happened, even with Windows 1.0 *continues with OS X and Linux*. I'd much rather see the new features and whatnot of Vista than all that crazy partying, but we can't please everyone.

I figure, by the time I need Vista because games insist on DirectX 10, it will be thoroughly hacked and readily available on The Pirate Bay.

Besides, Linux is treating me pretty well.
