So get this, I live in Atlanta AND, and... My Birthday is on May 5th, it would literally be the perfect birthday present!
I would love to hear the Main Theme from Final Fantasy IV because that song while not only being the world map theme for the game, not only encapsulates the feel of exploring an expansive world, but doing so as someone who's conscience is laden with the guilt of their actions.
That or "You're Not Alone" from Final Fantasy IX, because that song, while being incredibly amazing and fitting the sequence it was made for, caries just enough camp to feel like it it could have just as easily been made for an 80s fantasy movie like Ladyhawke.

My brother and I would LOVE to see this show, and we're near Atlanta as well! We both grew up with these games, so it would mean a lot to see Nobuo Uematsu himself performing songs that we remember so fondly from our childhood. I haven't played a FF game in a while, but may have to go through FFIX again in preparation for this amazing concert. The song we both want to hear most is Melodies of Life from Final Fantasy IX, the best game EVER!
I wish I were more into Final Fantasy. I'm just a couple hours away from Atlanta and could totally do this. But if it's just FF music I won't be able to appreciate it as much as everybody else.

I want to go because these are games I've never had the chance to purchase day one, but have ultimately fallen in love with. I borrowed the SNES version of Final Fantasy VI from a friend in Middle School and played the crap out of it. That was TEN YEARS after the game was first released. I've been catching up ever since, and I still compare any JRPGs I play up to VI.

It's always been a dream of mine to see one of these concerts in person. If I could only hear one song it would have to be Eyes on Me from Final Fantasy 8. It's still to this day my favorite song from the series and the only one to elicit any type of real emotion from me. Easily the best track from the series in my opinion and I've played all of them thus far.

I can safely say that Nobuo Uematsu is one of the most influential persons in my life due to his music. To go to this concert, and, assuming he will be there, to meet him and get an autograph would be a dream come true. Not only that, but, coincidentally enough, my best friend from college is coming to visit me that weekend. I introduced him to the world of Final Fantasy music in undergrad, and it would be absolutely amazing if we could go see it together.

I'd love to win the tickets. A group of some of my close friends are going up to Georgia for the weekend to see the concert. My girlfriend and I didn't have the money, so we were unable to buy tickets and pay for the hotel. If we did win the tickets we would be able to pay for the hotel and go to the concert. It would be awesome to go and be able to spend a weekend with my girlfriend and our friends enjoying music from some of our most loved games. I'd love to hear To Zanarkand, it's such a beautifully written piano piece and hearing it live would be amazing.

So for one, I've been listening to the Distant World albums in my car for the past couple months. I honestly can't get enough of it. In fact, I've been listening to it so much that even my girlfriend enjoys listening to it now. We were already considering going to the Atlanta show, but have been unable to justify spending the money on tickets because of our financial constraints. However if we were to bypass that whole "buying tickets" thing, then it'd be a no-brainer of course.
Also, I'm one of the fifteen or so people who are actually still playing FFXIV. If that's not loyalty to the Final Fantasy name, I don't know what is. Speaking of which I'd love to go to hear Answers from FFXIV, one of the few songs from the game that never made it onto the soundtrack. I've heard it on one of the Distant Worlds albums but I'd like to see how it's pulled off in concert.

Final Fantasy music is simply one of the most beautiful artistic masterpieces of all time. Just the mere sound of a Final Fantasy theme can evoke a wide range of emotions and make me step back in time to the nostalgic RPG goodness of the past. If I could be given the opportunity to attend such an acclaimed event, I am positive that not only would I be moved to tears for the first time in 7 years but that I would create beautiful long lasting memories that I could treasure for a lifetime.

I want to go because I loved playing through the classic final fantasy games and and i'm on spring break!!! No but seriously the music was just as essential as the story, gameplay, and graphics, all this together with the music creates such an immerse experience. I always loved Nobuo's music that guy must have the most diverse range of music ever... black mages anybody? LOL. But I have always wanted to see Cosmo Canyon being played from the orchestra, that song hits home hard for me.
The music of the Final Fantasy series has been a huge influence to me. It has the first video game music that made me think "wow, this is music!" I think, of all the great tracks from decades of games, the song "Terra" from FFVI would be the one I would want to hear the most. It really takes me back to that adventurous feeling these games have inspired in me for years.
I started playing Final Fantasy 7 during a rough time in my life. Like many others, it was the first game of the series that I played. My parents were just separated and I was left with nothing but time and school on my hands. I played the game and fell in love with every aspect, especially the music! I taught myself how to play To Zanarkand, my favorite piano piece and actually played it at my mother's wake after her death. It was the first song that I learned completely through and have played it thousands of times since. I would so very much love the chance to hear it played live at this concert!
Totally would like to hear Vamo' Alla Flamenco from FFIX, it's like an upbeat western!

It’d be nice to go, because I’ve been listening to Uematsu’s wonderful music through Final Fantasy for the majority of my life. Plus, I’m only a couple of hours from Atlanta, so I may never get another chance… Oh yeah, not to mention that I’d totally get to mark off #11 on my list of things to do before I die (seriously). As for what song I’d like to hear the most, I’m gonna have to go with FFVI’s “Terra’s Theme,” one that really sends chills up my spine. Though normally I’d say “Melodies of Life,” I’ve noticed that they’re not playing it on Atlanta’s setlist!

I was just about to buy tickets for the concert, when my mother shut me down because I had already taken a loan out from her to go to PAX East. I live in Georgia and attend a small community college just an hour from Atlanta. I'm an aspiring Music Education major, and I credit people like Nabuo Uematsu, Koji Kondi, and Jeremy Soule for my love for modern video game music. I'd take my fiancee with me, who loves Final Fantasy just as much as I do. This would be the greatest moment of my life (even greater than my first PAX East earlier this year) if I could go.

After hearing Nobuo's work for the first time while watching my brother play FF7 made me realize just how important music can be in a video game and become an essential part of the overall experience. It has always amazed me how he has been able to compose such a diverse range of music at a consistent level quality (that level of quality is HIGH). The Distant Worlds CD's are killer and to be able to hear these tracks performed live would be a dream. Hard to believe that one man could be so talented - he must be a robot.

I live in the ATL and my sister LOVES Final Fantasy. She's like only 14 but she's played EVERY game. It would rock her socks if she could go. On her 13th birthday she was excited because final fantasy 13 had come out on her birthday. She totally hyperventilated. She also plays clarinet and I play bassoon. We are true band kids. To see ASO would be awesomesauce to the max~

I'd love to go because to me the music of Final Fantasy has truly become a work of art that could only be possible through the gaming medium (Take that Ebert). This would be a great opportunity to relive the glory days of my youth, and also to prove to my girlfriend that video games can be emotionally moving experiences lol.

Sadly, Uematsu wasn't present for this one like he was for others, but nevertheless being able to hear the music that graced my wee and teenage years into full orchestra was an experience like no other.
And if I have the opportunity to once again be in Atlanta Symphony Hall, what would be my song of choice in a sea of classics that will be played that evening...?

Finally, I would have my dream realized of listening to Uematsu's epic by full orchestra that collectively combines the musical themes in FFVI into a song of apocalyptic and climactic proportions.

I would kill 15 bears to take my daughter to this. She loves the orchestral part at the end of the Final Fantasy 9 soundtrack song called Melodies of Life. It's been in several FF games so I"m not totally sure what to call it precisely, so we'll just go with "Melodies of Life (that part at the end). She just gets the greatest smile on her face when it starts.

I'm torn between being open and honest and respecting the privacy of my family, so I'll try to be discrete. My nephew was diagnosed with developmental issues a few years ago, and since then I've tried to encourage his education and growth in any way possible. I introduced him to Final Fantasy games with FFVII and he's now played all series titles post and prior to that. I've never seen something excite and inspire a child like this, and it has strengthened his reading, writing, and overall sense of creativity beyond belief. He is perhaps most fond of the music, and I would LOVE to be able to take him to the show as a congratulations for doing so well in school this year. We don't live too far of a drive from Atlanta, and it would surely be the highlight of his life to this point. Regardless, many thanks for reading. Happy Easter!
Wow, this would be incredible to attend! My wife allowed me to pick one song for our wedding. It was a very traditional wedding in a beautiful stone chapel, with a giant pipe organ. My choice for the song we would walk back down the aisle to? The Rebel Army theme from FF II. It sounded incredible on the organ, and no-one (except me) realized that they just listened to a video game song at a wedding (of course, that's a testament to Uematsu's talent). I would love to hear the Rebel Army Theme played by a full symphony.
I went to the Dear Friends concert in 2005 and was blown away by how good it was, I would love to go to hear Distant Worlds as well. If I could choose from any song in the series, the one I'd love to hear the most would be the Main theme because it reminds me of a simpler time when I could lose myself in the wonder and adventure of a game for weeks at a time without a care in the world. As for the songs listed on the Distant Worlds program, there are so many good songs that it's hard to choose just one. I am quite interested in hearing how they choose to reinvent the music from the Opera scene in FFVI. I wonder if they will bring in a choir again.
I am a rabid fan of Super Uematsu and his excellent compositions/scores. It would make my last 15 years as a fan reach the apex of geek-out. Never seen video game music performed live before (if you don't count this one guy who had Mario music on a cassette that performed at my elementary school back in the 80s) Only a few hours from ATL, so distance isn't an issue. Have ticket, will drive.
I would want to listen to "The Skies Above". I own all of the Black Mages albums, and several FF soundtracks. I even own the Distant Worlds soundtrack and Uematsu's 20020220 album! I love Uematsu's music and the game's he's written music for!

Final Fantasy has been a constant in my life since I picked up a controller. I can’t tell you how many weekends were spent playing Final Fantasy games on the Super Nintendo at my cousin’s house.
Then I finally grew up some and I was allowed to help my brother play Final Fantasy 7. I wasn’t allowed to touch the discs, but I got to read through the guide and point out treasures. I used to fall asleep and wake up with that guide in my arms. Just so I could be a part of the story. I wanted so badly to be a part of that world.
When Aeris died….I swore up and down it was my fault. I scrambled through my guide over and over and over, trying to find some way to prevent it…It was all for naught as you all know.
When Final Fantasy 8 came out I was allowed to play by myself. My brother didn’t take a shine to it so I was able to play for hours on end. Finally, my own adventure to set out on. I fell in love with the scenery, the music, the world itself. I used to wish that I had grown up in Balamb that lazy fishing town where the winds blew slowly and you could smell the sea every morning. That I’d one day retire to Fisherman’s Horizon in the middle of nothing spending my days walking the train tracks and smiling in the sunshine.
When I try to remember everything and every place I love in the series all the moments that come to my mind come through the music. It sets the scene, the mood, and does all the directing for you.
But even more than the memories I have of the games. It takes me to memories of my own life.
I’ve mentioned the memories I have with my brother playing Final Fantasy 7. But now I’d like to mention memories Final Fantasy 8 brings to mind.
Right after I met my husband we discovered we were both gamers. It’s a glorious feeling knowing you share an interest with someone you have feelings for!
One of our earliest weekends together we did a play though of Final Fantasy 8 together. Waking up to play and cuddle together for hours was fantastic. It was like a true life love story to me. We left the tv and poor ps2 on for 3 and half days playing and finishing it. I would always take us to Balamb or Fisherman’s Horizon when it was time to sleep. So I would enjoy those wonderful dreams of being there that I had as a child, but now even better because I could dream it with my husband. The songs of Final Fantasy 8 are forever intertwined with the courting of my husband.
We shared so much playing it together. We moved on to do RPGs every weekend that I got to see him. (Which was about once a month for the first 3 years we were a couple.)

I remember vividly purchasing the Final Fantasy VI soundtrack out of a catalog in the middle of winter in Wisconsin, roughly around 1995 or '96. I recall sitting in my bedroom listening to the opening theme, which takes place in the cold mines of Narshe. It seemed incredibly fitting given the weather outside. My friend Jesse and I would setup two TV's in my parents then rented house and play our respective copies of FF VI next to each other, while sipping cocoa and sneaking outside for a cigarette. While we were outside we discuss the part of the game we happened to be on at the moment. It's a strange thing playing JRPG's at the same time as another person in the room with you. I can't imagine even doing that anymore but the game was just so good that it transcended that logic, apparently.
Any song from just about any Final Fantasy game would evoke a memory of some sort, but there is a finale in the FF VI soundtrack that I would love to hear again. It essentially plays a bit of each characters theme so you get a good flood of memories all at once. Hearing that live would make me a kid again for an evening.
Interestingly I actually came into contact with Jesse again recently on Facebook. We played some Meridian 59 (a very old MMO that we also played together a couple years later) for a bit and reminisced on that. Perhaps he'd be interested in accompanying me if I were to have an extra ticket. Who knows?

I cannot die happily until I see a Final Fantasy-related orchestral concert. Also, I'm pretty sure my future wife will be there, so I've got that going for me. I'd take her into my geeky weak arms, caress the soft outline of her maiden's face and give her some serious tongue-hockey while the orchestra rocks out "Suteki da ne."

Basically, Final Fantasy has been my favorite game series since I was about 7. I got my start on the first game in the series on NES, then when I got an SNES, I got into IV and VI. Obviously, living in the US, I didn't get to play II, III, or V until much later, but yeah. Frankly, I don't think the series has seen a bad game released. There's been something to love in every single Final Fantasy game since the first one, at least as far as the main series is concerned. In the future, I also plan to get a tattoo sleeve based on Yoshitaka Amano's artwork. Just awesome, awesome games.
As for the song I'd most like to hear, possibly "Fisherman's Horizon". Or "Balamb Garden". Those are just amazing, and I have a soft spot for VIII's OST. I'd also like to hear "Wandering Flame", but considering that's mostly synth, I doubt it would be played.
