A while ago, we talked about the sweet looking Helghast rifle replica that Sony was showing off. Now we know how to get our filthy, dirty, grubby little hands on one. There is to be a competition held via the PlayStation Network, held over fourteen days, where players must perform certain actions within Killzone 2 for a chance at winning.
Each of the fourteen days will ask the players to perform different actions, and whomever performs said action the most will win that day's event. Day One, for example, will award the player who can kill the most Helghast with a single grenade. Day Eight is won by having the highest All Weapon Accuracy of any other player.
It's Day Thirteen, however, that is what makes this competition so very awesome. In order to win on Day Thirteen, you need to lose the most amount of games. Can you imagine the chaos of Killzone 2's multiplayer on that day? I can, and it makes me wet.
From the looks of it, all fourteen daily winners will get their own rifle. I may not try and compete, because my early days with Killzone 2 multiplayer have seen me utterly suck, but I'll definitely make sure to observe the insanity of Day 13, as players race to commit suicide first.
that could work if everyone's using another one's account
Easy pickings!
The contest isn't exclusively for multiplayer. There are single player events depending on the day.
I don't know, I think the rifle looks better. It looks like a FAMAS knocked up a Ghost in the Shell Seburo, which then took an in-vitro fertilization from a Bizon submachine gun.
By comparison the Lancer looks like something an elementary school student drew in the margins of his notebooks, alongside the stick figures that would become XiaoXiao.
Then again, XiaoXiao's pretty cool...
It would be cool if they had the competitions from time to time, you know, to freshen things up.
I probably won't compete because I can never seem to get that good at console fpss, but I look forward to the mayhem this is going to cause.
