actually, @Epic-KxDtoid maybe stuff like mining and the map would be cool with kinect...initial reaction= do not want. But maybe i'll wait to judge until I hear more....

Cover based shooting using the couch? It could work. You're fucked if you don't have any furniture, though.
I have yet to see any games that are not outright made for kinect use the kinect, it would be interesting to see bioware make mass effect 3 for the controllers and add some kind of feature that uses kinect like what DrDinosaurPhD said about using kinect to map your face would be interesting. I'm not going to say no till i have the game in hand and it says Kinect compatible on the case and shows me what they use it for, otherwise my initial thought is that someone was joking around and put this up.
I like the idea. It could be a controler+kinect deal where, say, the game could read your expressions and react accordingly in conversations, or maybe you can give voice commands in battle (i.e. move here/ shoot that). It won't use only kinect, so you can just choose not to use kinect and still enjoy a great game. Either way, I don't see how it could impact the game's overall quality. Ignore it and you can enjoy your favorite store on the Citidal without gesturing to your television.

The newest Harry Potter game had a separate Kinect mode to it, as a side part from the main game.
Also, allow me to echo the negative feeling towards the use of Kinect in this game. If there were a separate Kinect-based game that was based on Mass Effect, I would be all for it. That would probably make me get a Kinect. Other than that, keep it out of the main series of games.

It's "Better with Kinect", as in, it'll be fully playable with a standard controller but will have some extra features/functionality for the people who own the sensor.
As a new Kinect owner, I'm pretty stoked for this, even if it turns out that the only thing you can do is use voice commands or punch someone in the face during a conversation!

It COULD be good. Mining, Minority Report menu systems, feeling up Garrus/Wrex/Liara, hell, even Kaiden. I REALLY like the face capture idea. Too bad I look a helluva lot like default Shepard. Just different eye color and ears. Really, that's all.

You could bark commands to squad mates. And you can stand up and do pelvic thrusts when you're banging blue chicks. Quickies net you 20gs while fuckin' her gently will get you a whopping 150gs.
This could be just the answer for people running out of reasons to make fun of Kinect.

So everybody bitches about a lack of core games for Kinect and when rumbling of them actually using the tech in conjunction with a controller comes up for a core game, you all start hissing like fucking snakes.

Also, don't forget that by the time that this game is out, there will be Kinect for PC. I see this happening on all platforms.
