With the stunning success of the Wii, it was only a matter of time before the guys at In2Games started asking "What about us?" Speaking to MCV, the UK firm wants it to be known that they are getting ready to launch their own motion sensing hardware for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 -- and interest, as well as support, couldn't be higher.
"We are putting out ourselves we are getting support from a lot of other companies. I can’t name names at this point but there are publishers out there that really want to get on board. The success of Wii has shown everyone that this project is viable, and anyone making games for the Wii will now be able to bring those games to the other platforms.
We’re treating this as a platform rollout. There’s going to be a major spend on marketing as well – this is a really big deal for us. The Wii is a fantastic piece of kit. But Fusion changes the playing field again – if Wii is going to be the cheaper option, we can bring the better, more sophisticated option to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.”
Although In2Games has yet to announce to the world the release date or pricing on their Wii-killing technology, they have made it clear that they think they can level the playing field for competing consoles. Whether or not this technology will be key in slowing down the unstoppable juggernaut that is the Wii has yet to be seen.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
If they want to improve on the Wii concept, just make it more responsive. The small remote works fine for me.
These guys are going to fail miserably.
Ashamed of what, exactly? I'm a news writer, and this is news. The Wii is hot, and these guys (who seem to have developed their own technology before Nintendo) think they can do better.
If they can manage to somehow do so, don't we all win in the end?
However, nobody will listen. They just think watering down the market rather than trying out their own innovations (as if they HAVE any of their own) is the way forward.
I have yet to play the Xavix golf yet, so I do not know if this one is the best "simulation" or not.
Let's see: tennis racket, baseball bat, bowling ball, golf club, home pregnancy test...
I think you are dead on. Gameboi should be ashamed that he didn't put two and two together.
Eye Toy, Mario Paint, Time Crisis, DDR, Guitar Hero.
Find me an accessory that sold well without the software to back it up. Devs won't even develop hooks for the controls without someone stepping up to the plate and no one wants to gimmick their game up enough to try it that couldn't already on the Wii.
