Evasive Space is a top-down action adventure title where you pilot a spaceship through obsctacles. You're working on a time limit, working to collect items on missions to save the universe from someone called Dr. Dark Matter.
As we told you in our preview, the real appeal here is the control method. Think of this as a collection of reflex test mazes, as you'll be using a Wii Remote to point your way through the galaxy. You point, and that's where your ship goes. You'll play for time, competing with friends live in a multiplayer match, or online against the best leaderboard times.
The official Web site has now launched, and with that a new trailer (above). The game will be available on Nintendo's WiiWare service in January of 2009 for 1,000 Wii Points.
Dale North is Destructoid's Editor-In-Chief, a founding editor, and specialist in Japanese gaming. An accomplished musician, Dale was reporting from Japan during the earthquakes of 2011. Luckily, he got the fuck out alive and is home in America now with his wife and beloved corgi, Einstein. Dale is also a co-founder of Destructoid's sister anime site

I like the concept, though. Reminds me of Geometry Wars, only without the pew-pew.
