On the other hand: Damn! I just bought it on 3DS. Now I'll have to buy it again.
Changing sprites into 'HD' ones didn't work well then. Here's hoping that it actually works well here.
Maybe even some kind of level editor would be great.

Wii U to receive Mighty Switch Force HD at launch
Mighty Switch Force is an awesome game. The free update on May 24 made it even more awesome. And now its poised to become even more awesome-o than that! According to Nintendo Power, WayForward is planning an HD port of Mighty Switch Force set to launch alongside the Wii U this year. The game will include all the features and updates from the 3DS original (and possibly even more), but the sprites are being completely redrawn to appear a lot closer in style to the concept artwork. As you can see in the header, Mighty Switch Force HD is going to be sexy indeed. I absolutely adored the hand-drawn style of A Boy and His Blob, and to see that level of cartoony quality at a higher resolution will be nothing short of joyous. Think of this as WayForward's testing the waters, as many more unannounced Wii U and 3DS games are being planned. A New Definition of Force [Nintendo Power via NeoGAF] Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)But the sprites looked nicer than the official artwork...and the whole hook of the game just made more sense on 3DS. Oh well, it's a good game, and if this gets more people to enjoy it I suppose that's cool. Damn that looks good, but I wish this was a sequel instead of a re-release. Since this is a puzzle game, and I've already solved all of these puzzles multiple times it's hard for me to double dip. Still I consider MSF to be the best puzzle platformer I've ever played so I may just get it again. Hopefully we get a sequel at some point. On one hand: Awesome! This game will look very pretty.
On the other hand: Damn! I just bought it on 3DS. Now I'll have to buy it again. This reminds me so much of that iOS Mega Man X port.
Changing sprites into 'HD' ones didn't work well then. Here's hoping that it actually works well here. Even though I didn't have a 3DS or anything to play this on I still bought the soundtrack. Holy hell is that catchy. If I do somehow pick up a wiiu I'll look into this. Ehh, I don't know. I think the sprites look a little better on the 3DS. The edges appear edgier on that version, and I like that. Also, I'm not really a fan of re-releases occurring so soon after launch. It kind of screws over people who bought it first. Though this is Wayforward, so I don't think they had any sort of malicious intent or greed when deciding to make this. There better be a thousand new bonus levels for this.
Maybe even some kind of level editor would be great. I'm with Scissors, a sequel would be 10x more exciting. Hopefully this does well and one will be incoming. Mighty Switch Force was fantastic. I'm definitely getting this. WayForward is such a great developer. 9:30 PM on 05.21.2013 A bear will stare at you in 3DHow is the Xbox One going to sell in Japan?
