Mighty Switch Force is an awesome game. The free update on May 24 made it even more awesome. And now its poised to become even more awesome-o than that!

According to Nintendo Power, WayForward is planning an HD port of Mighty Switch Force set to launch alongside the Wii U this year. The game will include all the features and updates from the 3DS original (and possibly even more), but the sprites are being completely redrawn to appear a lot closer in style to the concept artwork. As you can see in the header, Mighty Switch Force HD is going to be sexy indeed. I absolutely adored the hand-drawn style of A Boy and His Blob, and to see that level of cartoony quality at a higher resolution will be nothing short of joyous.

Think of this as WayForward's testing the waters, as many more unannounced Wii U and 3DS games are being planned.

Shovel Knight looks great in 16-bit, Aegis Defenders just looks great

Oh my goooddd. How did I miss this until now? It's like a Nausicaa game. Thank you sir Shovel Knight for making a cross over appearance (above) in Aegis Defenders, which is how it came to my attention.  The Kickstarter already passed its initial funding goal and its PS4 stretch goal. Local co-op and a Wii U version are up next. Here's hoping. This looks amazing. more
