Woah, hold up? How come nobody told me this? There's a new Gradius game?
Apparently, because it hits WiiWare today. Gradius ReBirth (Konami, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points) looks like its the newest installment of the popular shooter series, and looks to feature "remix" versions of levels featured in previous games. And if you think you're good at shooters, prepare to have that dream shattered, as the game also features worldwide leaderboards wit Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
If you're looking for a retro game that hasn't been updated or remixed at all, then Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars (SEGA MASTER SYSTEM, 1 player, 500 Wii Points) is for you. Now might be a good time to bring this up -- what the hell is Alex Kidd? In all of the art I see for the game, he looks human. But when you play it, he's got weird monkey/bat ears. It's all very confusing; I'd appreciate some clarification for my cosplay.

Nintendo really needs to get there finger out and promote some of the games on there.
HOW SOON IS SOON?!
but yeah, VC sucks today - meh.
Alex Kidd...
Such a distant memory... I remember playing a helluva lot of Miracle World. That game was one difficult bitch! Lost Stars? I think the game was pretty easy in comparison. And Enchanted Castle for the Genesis was cool... Then. I wonder how these games are now. Hmmmm?!
Janken fight!

Thank you for reminding us of that critical information.
but i remember a few platformer parts being difficult... such a weird game i might add
Yea, man... Weird game. Weird character.
I heard Lost Stars was based off the arcade game, which was a two player co-op game, I think. I remember seeing pictures of the game and, from I can remember, the graphics looked pretty cool.
Alex Kidd... Where are you?!
I heard SEGA has a new Alex Kidd in the works...
Maybe they are giving up on Sonic and making Alex Kidd the star mascot again! Imagine that?!
Alex Kidd in the next Smash Bros.?!
Ha ha!
