The above video demonstrates the Wiimote implementation in The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, which is just a longer way of saying Wii Godfather. And while one of my biggest gripes with the Wii is its inefficiency in handling ports from other consoles, I have to admit that (if this video is any indication) EA looks to be on the right track.

Surprisingly, the damn thing looks pretty fun. Granted, there are about half a dozen times when the playtester makes a gesture and the game doesn't recognize it, and it's disappointing that the driving is handled through the analog stick instead of gestures (as CoD 3 and WarioWare: Smooth Moves executed so well) but you've gotta admit that this looks to be a much better port than, say, Splinter Cell.

This is the perfect game for me to wave my arms around like I'm having a seizure and see what happens. 'll probably set off a bionuclear missle, or something.

looks impressive for a port. now we just need more games made from the ground up for the wii. it definitely shows developers are getting better implementing wii controls with time. but i'm sure we haven't seen anything yet. the potential is enormous because each hand has its own motion sensor. i can't wait to see what games are in store for the wii by 2008.

If this gets released i'll be shocked.
A game that features Random acts of Violence on a Nintendo console?
Looks like Nintendo are really trying to target a more adult audience, BUT we all know that this game will be more appealing to Teens. :D

If EA can pull this off, imagine what Rockstar could do with a Wii. No I'm not talking about Table Tennis, but that would be nice too.

My only worry is about how crazy politicians will be all over this if there will be a either a.)Car accident, b.)Violent act, c.)Mass Murders , D.)all of the above and they will quickly point to this game and blame every part of it. Thus, discouraging more developers making interesting and matured titles for the Wii.

Leave our games alone!! 8(

Raymond: Ever heard of resident evil 4?
inque: It's a port. It's already been released on other systems. I don't really see how this could cause controversy.

That was a pretty awesome trailer. The gesturing system is brilliant, but it's not a game in itself. Hopefully they'll nail the rest of it too. My interest has gone up a lot though.

I didn't really like this for the PS2. Never played the 360 version but this one looks good. Solid framerate and the textures don't look too bad. I'm interesting in strangling and headbutting a bunch of people too.
