I wish they would continue to call it "Player's Choice" but what are you gonna do?
Hoping for more Nintendo titles to go "Select". That way, they'll be easier to grab if Cafe is BC with Wii games so I can start building a Wii collection along with Cafe once it hits.

Nintendo's probably getting a bit desperate now, although they're still leagues ahead of the competition (in terms of hardware sales).

It shouldnt have taken damn near this long for any of those price drops. Can you imagine if the video game market WAS all digital? These games would never get price drops
It only took five years, but Nintendo finally dropped the price on a Wii launch title that was actually developed for the Gamecube.
I love Nintendo games, but these price drops are too little too late. Nintendo made a profit on the Wii day 1, yet the price only dropped $100 in 5 years. Try and find a 360 or PS3 game a year old that still has an MSRP of $50 or more. Portal 2 just game out and it's already been discounted heavily at $30-40.

Also, the price in the UK for a Wii with Mario Kart and Wii Sports included is £195 ($321)!!! Can you imagine how many they'd shift here if Nintendo made the price fairly equal?

For the same reasons a 3DS is $430 here as opposed to the measly $250 you have to dish out in the US, I seriously doubt that we're gonna see any good of this price drop up here tbh :/

Yeah, I don't have a Wii myself, but if the price comes down a lot more then I'm really tempted to get one, mainly for the Virtual Console and a few first party titles.
definitly a bit late to be discounting. oh well i guess its good for those people who were ify about some of those games.as for cafe, i just hope it has BC so that i dont have to switch cables continually.

I would get a wii again, I guess I don't really care about the problems I had with it that much anymore.
Wii seems like a GREAT console for the virtual console and first party exclusives. But I got very annoyed with the lack of third party support. I guess it just wasn't a third party console :(

I think I'm going to save up this summer and along with a new 360, get a black wii. My old white one looks like hell and I can always give the old one to a friend or something.

I'm glad I didn't buy a Wii last month when I was going to, I was gonna be pissed. Now the wait for the $100 Wii begins.
Damn it, no Brawl? I really wanted to buy that game back...I need TP anyway, guess I'll buy it in the hopes Nintendo sees how well they sell and release more Select titles.
I've been waiting a long time for the Wii to reach the $150 price points (since that's how much I bought a Gamecube for). However, with the successor just around the corner and able to play Wii games...I'm just going to wait for that.
Heh, hopefully the Nintendo Selects line will grow to encompass more than these four games. Remember New Play Control? They still haven't released Pikmin 2 in North America, let alone something amazing like Wind Waker.

You can't really call it "Player's Choice" because all those games didn't exactly sell gangbusters when compared to games such as Mario Kart Wii or NSMB Wii. The only game on that list that would be worthy of a "Player's Choice" title would be Wii Sports (since it actually sold Wii Hardware). The rest of it is sub-par software that's getting a price cut because it wouldn't sell otherwise, and really, it won't sell that much even with the price cut.
Though I'm not going to complain about a Wii price cut. I will, however, complain about Nintendo not making any games worth a damn lately. They focused on a shitty 3D handheld and now they're talking about a new console when they haven't even really supported their current one.

I'm still confused as to why they're now selling Wii Sports separately from the Wii console, considering that it's the reason 98 percent of Wii users got the damn thing.
