The Wii Mini, the $99 redesigned Wii console that launched in Canada last December, will release in the UK on March 22, Nintendo today announced. The console retains the new matte black and red aesthetic found in the Mini's original release, as well as the top-loading disc tray and lack of both online functionality and GameCube support. Exact pricing for the UK launch was not revealed.

A new selection of Nintendo Selects titles will also be available to coincide with the Wii Mini's UK release: Mario Party 8, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Power Tennis and Super Paper Mario. These titles are added to the current roster of Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City.
