European gamers now know everything there is to know about the Wii's Virtual Console because Nintendo just announced the complete VC launch lineup. While the lack of SNES and N64 games is disturbing, it still is a strong lineup -- depending on your expectations. You can see the complete list and learn more about the games' prices right after the jump.
The following games will be available on Dec. 8:
NES:
Baseball, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Ice Hockey, Mario Bros., Pinball, Soccer, Solomon's Key, Tennis, The Legend of Zelda, Urban Champion, Wario's Woods
SNES:
F-Zero, SimCity, Donkey Kong Country
N64:
Super Mario 64
SEGA MEGA DRIVE (Genesis):
Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Columns, Gunstar Heroes, Ecco the Dolphin, Space Harrier II, Toe Jam & Earl, Ristar, Dr. Robotonik’s Mean Bean Machine
Turbografx (PC Engine):
Bonk’s Adventure,
Super Star Soldier,
Victory Run,
Bomberman’93,
Dungeon Explorer.
NES games will cost 500 Wii Points (about 5€) while SNES and N64 will cost 800 and 1,000 Wii Points respectively. In order to play Megadrive games, you will need to pay 800 Wii points. Turbografx games won't cost more than NES games. The nice people at Nintendo of Europe also made sure to point out that those are only launch games prices. What you will have to pay for Virtual Console games released after December 2006 may vary from title to title.
Cards containing 2,000 Wii Points will be sold in shops for 20€.
I don't think I'll be downloading a lot of VC games -- at least not until a HDD is released. I don't really like paying for a game that I may have to delete a few weeks later, ya know? What do you guys think about all this?
