Wii Fit Plus detailed, exercise even more realistically photo

More Nintendo news has come out of the GameStop manager conference in Las Vegas. You know, the annual event that makes the Hell of working at GameStop actually worth it!

Wii Fit Plus is on its way and will be replacing the current Wii Fit configuration in favor of the new Plus-ness. The bundle will be out on October 4th for $99.99 and will include new exercises, new yoga activities and new games. Players will also be able to customize their routines, so they can focus on just specific areas of their body.

If you’re not looking to add another Balance Board to your clutter of plastic junk, you will be able to buy the game disc separately for $19.99.

You can also go outside and do a lot of these things. For free. You lazy people, you.

Man... Wii Fit wasn't even worth the asking price! I only got it because I was in Tokyo at the time and it was £35, compared to the UK price of £75... Sure it was Japanese, but it's not hard to understand!

I think my parents' Balance Board has been used twice. And only twice. Load of tripe in my opinion.

Spare a thought this Christmas for those poor shop assistants.

Back when the delightful original game came out, I was asked 9 times in the first 10 minutes of opening, about stock levels in store. I was running laps between the phone and counter that morning. I think I still hold the store record. We gave up keeping count in the end.

I can't blame Nintendo for milking the game. It was last Christmas' and the last last Christmas' must have toy and accessory.I just wish they were a little bit more subtle.

As I type this a single tear is falling down my cheek.

This will sell like hot cakes at an "I Bloody Love Hot Cakes" convention, and will be more pointless than bringing Scrabble to an orgy.

Called it.

Blargh!

I don't wanna be "that guy" but seriously people do we need this? There is an entire gym right outside your door! GO OUTSIDE!

What will be even more interesting is experimenting further, to see if adding more interactivity into games will improve the experience as well as provide positive health benefits. Imagine joining a digital gym where you run through IRL FPS, not that is exercising!

Their outfits look like they were assigned in a futuristic uniform world where everybody is the same person, like The Island or Aeon Flux. Idiots in uniforms performing mindless activities and squashing originality. Is that what Nintendo wants America to be? Fuck that.

Sounds like something that a patch would fix (or rubbish DLC) if this were on 360 or PS3. I don't think the "plus" packs that big of a punch.

Why play games at all instead of going outside? It's an invalid arguement. Sports games shouldn't exist because you can just go outside, right? Why play solitare on a computer when you can pull out your own deck of cards?

Wii Fit is awesome. The balance board also acts as a scale. The game tracks all of your progress. You work hard to achieve goals in order to unlock new content and beat the old high scores just like any other game. You can play in the summer, in the winter, in bad weather, at night, or even when you're intoxicated and can't go outside. It's a great device to help you lose weight and/or get fit.
