According to EBgames, official component cables for the Wii from Nintendo won't be available until December. The cables, priced at $29.99, are listed with a release date of 12/15/06.
Does it suck?

Since I probably won't be able to get my Wii until mid-December or later, I'm not too heartbroken about this news. I'm heartbroken about not getting my Wii soon though. :(
Component cables have no audio inputs, only video ones. The 3 inputs on a component cable are for the 3 RGB colors (1 for Red, 1 for Green, 1 for Blue). This alows more detailed video information to be sent than the single composite input.
Well, that's the gist of the differences, there's more to it than that.

Or at least let us use some html tags!
Thanks for that link but I'm still a little confused about hooking it up. Obviously you need 3 video imputs of somesort on your output device. Here's a pic of all the input available (apart from 3 VGA ports) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v260/n00bzilla/projector_input.jpg
I read something about using an S-Video adapter or something like that to plug them in to a single port while not losing most of the image quality. Basically how can I hook them up to this projector?
Composite = standard cable that the Wii comes with
S-video = better quality and what your projector can take
Component = even better quality
Because you have a projector, I assume you have a fairly large screen. If that is the case, you will definitely benefit from buying an S-video cable.

There's probably no way to get Component unless I buy a new TV. But I guess I could get an S-Video cable to tide me over.
Thanks for the advice, I'll be buying an S-Video cable when they come out until I can afford anything with Component.

I think Japan's getting a VGA adapter for the Wii, but meh. My TV's like 3 times larger than my biggest computer monitor.
