Okay, this is a game I have not seen before. It's a game many people have not seen before. This makes no sense whatsoever, as it looks exactly like the kind of game that should be slapping Wii owners in the face and demanding their attention.
Flip's Twisted World has an open platforming design and visual style that draws out memories of Super Mario Galaxy, but adds in an awesome gravity-flipping mechanic just to keep things spicy. This is the kind of classic cute platformer that appeals to all ages and demographics, so why is nobody talking about it?
Fortunately, it's now caught my eye. Flip's Twisted World is on my famous "things other blogs won't talk about that I will cover incessantly and to the point of nausea" list. I will do this, even though one member of the game's developer, Frozen North, seems to hate my guts and regularly Tweets about what a scumbag I am. He seriously does that!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
you're such a scumbag! I'm going to go tweet about that right now...
Tons of other blogs cover it :P - that's how I found out about it.
However, the game footage is promising. Bit concerned that the controls look a little jerky (could just be the camera).
Thanks man!

As for the game, it has the potential to be a sleeper hit like Rocket (on the 64), but (obviously) it all depends on how well it's designed. The charm is there, but the gameplay remains to be seen.
This seems to have it.
As for the game, it looks like it'll languish in the shadow of Mario Galaxy 1+2.
Guys, Mario games aren't about themes or plot with kidnapping or getting coins. It is about perfect gameplay! Please rip off the gameplay (if you can) and build your own style and story around it.
Recently seen Super Mario Bros rip off for Linux (about tux in a red hat). Same shit - similar style, game concepts and techniques but the gameplay itself is not even close in terms of quality.
Oh fuck me naked, Mario got a LOT of clones in almost every way, I think it's great to adapt a similar idea and add of your own.
If it wasn't because of Mario, Sonic would have probably not existed, neither Crash or Spyro.
THIS kind of games is what the generation lacks greatly. I am tired as shit of games looking too serious now.
Uhh...maybe not the classic 2-D Mario but that is the whole point of the 3-D starfinder Mario games.
Looks neat!
What did you do to piss him off, Jim?
but if your into that king of thing have at it.
I just choose to support developers that are original and put good work into their games and not rip everyone else off.
Next time I see a game like this maybe I'll tip ya off to it. For the record, known about this for ~2 months.
