Who knew Space Invaders could be so deep and emotional photo

Above is merely the first two frames of a massively vertical comic chronicling the life a green Space Invader. Created by Ehud Lavski for Dorkly, it ought to make you think about your actions towards gaming's standard cannon fodder. Are they truly evil? Do they have families? Doesn't it seem odd that Space Invaders, Goombas, Moblins, or other such low-level grunts could potentially have these rich personal histories, yet it takes but a matter of seconds to extinguish their lives?

Who is the real monster?

We go forward: A bittersweet comic to start your day

Using game mechanics and a pixel art aesthetic to convey a deeper thought is no longer for indie games some of you are sick of. It can be done in comic form. And quite well. It's like a mild La Maison en Petits Cubes, in that I wasn't weeping  heavy for five straight minutes.  It's cute and bittersweet. Good job, Shenanigansen (no relation).more
