The last time I got my hands on Level-5's PS3 RPG White Knight Story, I was really impressed. I couldn't get enough. But I couldn't shake the feeling that it would be a very long time before I would be able to enjoy this title in the comfort of my own home, and in my first language.

Maybe the wait won't be as long as I thought. According to Next Gen, White Knight Story will see a release sometime before March 31, 2009.

Of course, that's a Japanese date, so I may have been right in the first place. Sony has not yet confirmed if the US will also see this release before that date.

I'll remain hopeful. This could be a major push for the PS3, a console that is sorely lacking in quality JRPGs.

What about you? Are you looking forward to White Knight Story? Don't you think they need a better name, though?

I've been wanting this forever. I'll wait as long as I need to get my hands on it.

According to the Wikipedia, the localized name would be White Night CHRONICLES, which apparently makes it sound cooler.

I am most definately looking forward to this game. Ever since I picked up a PS3 a few weeks back, I've been itching for a really good RPG to play on it. This makes me hopeful.

Yes. This will be good. We desperately need more RPGs for the PS3.

Hmm, original Level 5 RPGs are fun to play but their stories are often a bit pish. Also, those in-game character models look like they're made out of plasticine.

I dislike Sony and don't want a PS3, but as I said way back when that trailer first came out: Goddamn that trailer is awesome. One of my favorites ever.

The rule with naming JRPGs is it has to allude to something you can't possible understand until you've played the game, and even once you've completed it, you still really don't understand what the crap they're talking about. Mentioning the title amongst fellow gamers makes you feel smarter than everyone else though.

The same rule applies for anime.

the title does sound a bit generic... but that was also with lost odyssey in a way... so it prolly doesn't matter anyway...

we'll be talking about TWK anyway soon :-)

I really need to get a PS3. I've been tasting for a good JRPG and this one looks like it could fill my need.

This is one of those games that I keep forgetting about but I'm still totally psyched for. Nice to know it's coming relatively soon (as in before FF13). It's actually one of the reasons I originally wanted to buy a PS3.

I and a lot of my friends have been waiting for this specific title. I really hope it comes to the US before summer next year.

Any game that features the term "Henshin" (transform) is worthy of my attention.

It might help push PS3's in Japan. But I doubt people care much in western society.

This one fell off my radar, wasn't it originally slated to be a PS3 launch title? Regardless I'm excited for it.

Disappointment. I felt Jeanne D'Arc was quite frankly ruined by the transformation elements. While it made for an interesting gameplay mechanic, the story, mixed with the generic world and characters (And boy, do the characters look generic in this trailer), was so boring that I couldn't finish it.

The song was pretty sweet. Also, I expected Darth Vader at the end of the trailer. Not really, but it had a similar aura.
I'm looking forward to it in the sense that I'm a big JRPG nut, but I never really thought it looked SPECTACULAR. I mean, I'm sure I'd enjoy it, but I don't understand all of the hype it's gotten over the internet. The trailer did look a lot better than any I'd seen before, though.
I'll buy it, I'm sure.

One thing that I have to admit bothers me...

The main character's 'rat tail'. I thought those went out of style in the 90s!

Henshin-a-go-go, baby. ^_^

If this plays like Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2 to you guys) or Rogue Galaxy, then this will be extremely desirable, regardless of RPG stereotypes.

Nice Krakatoa at the end too. BOOM! O_O

Hadnt heard of this until this feed, but it's a step in the right direction for sure. This takes me one step closer to caving and buying a PS3. I dunno if I can resist with this, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII and God of War III.. I may end up purchasing a PS3 after all.. hmmmmm..

Any chance that this may be ported to the 360? :O
