I played and somewhat enjoyed White Knight Chronicles (review coming tomorrow) on the PS3. One of my favorite little features of the game was the Crystal Camera, a snapshot tool that I used like a phone cam in-game. I probably spent a bit too much time with that, as you'll see soon.
I really like this White Knight Chronicles commercial that highlights both online play and the dangers of obsessing over the perfect shot with the camera. You'll see. It's quite funny. This is actually one of the better Sony ad videos I've seen as it manages to show the game and its features while being entertaining.
In my experience with online no one really talks. Minimal conversation at most. It usually goes like this: Log on, get quest, everyone run to the end of the stage, fight, get winnings, leave.
After the jump you'll find a second funny video, found on VGCharts, that also highlights online play. Man, where are these guys online?

PLEASE seriously consider the online element when you do your review! Seems just about every review I've read on this game just says "yeah, its got online and thats cool and all...next, let's talk about the story".
Anyone who actually plays this, including me, plays it FOR the online component and social atmosphere. True that your average PS3 user doesn't use/have a mic, but all it takes is a quick trip to a community site and get some people to play with.
I loved wkc tbh. It is the first rpg I finished on the next gen consoles so far, and I loved every second of it. Come on level 5 bring on wkc 2 and 3! I love me some classic rpgs!
i absolutely love this game. i have no problem with mics because i mainly play with friends who have them.
the game ain't perfect but it also was released 08 in japan. i would overall give it at least an 8. it really starts to grow on ya after about the 10th hour. all the online features are really great, from the funny posts to setting up a loot quest and everything in between.
if you like jrpg's and you like online multiplayer and you like blogs and you like mmo's, then you will like wkc.
I play online alot im at level 41 right now I got a mic but i dont hook it up instead i use my keyboard and just listen to music while I play. I been taking pics of Kara cause she is hot and most interesting character in the game.
That made me lol, I beat it the other day still haven't got deep into the online, maybe 4 quests. Playing Bioshock 2 right now... but I enjoyed it. @Kamlon add me: DRiegel
Dale, you're running with the wrong people. The people I've been playing with never shut up, lol. At any rate, I feel like WKC execution was mediocre and perhaps points to great things to come but at present is merely adequate. I didn't really use the camera all that much, one spot in the Flandars where I thought it was worth using.
At any rate, the online component is definitely the best part of the game in my opinion but one can only run Best Served Cold and it's sequel so many times before you're burnt out, more variety would have been nice.
I could deal with less fetching missions and more kill-the-boss missions. Just remove the fetching, add two or three additional giant, tough bosses. That's all any of us want anyway, big bastardous boss battles.

Love the vidoes though! Lol.
I think I'd only be with the two people I know who are vaguely interested in this game.
Also, One of those dudes sound like Yahtzee...

Other than that ya I love the game personally.

but if you're being technical and cunning, WKC came out in Japan well before Borderlands came out anywhere...
