What Uncharted 2 playlists do you want? Tell Naughty Dog photo

Do you frequently browse Naughty Dog's Web site? Cool, me neither; this news is meant for our eyes only.

The Uncharted 2 developer is interested in hearing your feedback on what, if any, new multiplayer playlists should be implemented next. Over on the European PlayStation Blog -- which, by the way, is sexier than its US counterpart -- they have got the various options spelled out for us:

  • Plunder Only
All Plunder, all the time. No variations, nothing but capping treasure and shooting enemies.
  • Crushing: All Game Types
The Crushing variation on all maps with all game types. Crushing is a more hardcore version of our rule set where players have less health and no Boosters are active.
  • Crushing: Deathmatch Only
The Crushing variation on all maps in standard Deathmatch only.
  • Skilled Objectives
All Objective game types, but now with a Skill Level. Skill Levels are tied to each playlist, so all players would start with a Skill Level of 1 in this playlist, regardless of the Skill Level already achieved in the Ranked playlist.
  • Deathmatch Variants Only
All the Deathmatch variants including Sniper/Pistole, Pistols/Grenades, RPG’s, and Crushing.

It's always nice to see a developer show sincere interest in what the fans have to say, and I'm not just saying that. People don't love Naughty Dog for the great games alone -- the studio is a class act all the way. Also, the picture? For once, it's not my doing. Blame Hamza, not me.

Sexual,

How could you, that's like swapping an R35GT for a small pile of moist dog poo.

I made that mistake when I finished the first Uncharted, & then had to go out & buy a pre-owned copy again so I could get a platinum on it. I am not getting rid of UC2 EVER (probably).

I feel like shedding a small tear of loss for you.

I got a better idea, kill playlists and let people choose again.

ninjikiran: Whaaaa? That's crazy. Too much decision making for your average gamer.

Know what I would love?

A PC Uncharted 2, then I could use a controller, and choose whatever playlist I want, whenever I want.

@Kaden, I'm not regretting it yet, but I probably will.

I'm no completionist though, platinums are not my bag, I figured that it'd be worth more as most of the cost of MW2 (which will get hundreds and hundreds of hours of play) that it would sitting on my bookcase looking all pretty and exclusive.

I like trophies, but I don't play FOR them. I'd actually like to be bothered but can't.

Played through, played online till I was sick of it, traded it in.

PS3 exclusives to date have all been superb (Haze excluded) but I don't think I actually kept any of them. Would have kept MGS4 had I known that the MGO solo disc would never materialise.

Kojima - send me the MGO solo disc! I'll buy it!

I wish they would make some more co-op levels but I understand why it's not that easy.

Darkitp is actually onto something. It's so rewarding to punch somebody in the dick in Uncharted. I'd play that mode all day every day.

Hmmm...why do those all seem unimportant?

Fuck goldrush on Co-Op, it sucks when people aren't working together and you eventually get to ''X O'' score

Which means you don't get any points at all.

i do like the idea of no boosts. also weapon limits, pistols only etc. is always cool.

also coop arena with just fists could be alot of fun!

Make a cross platform game.

Twist is that it has to look absolutely gorgeous and playable on PS3, but it should look sluggish and underpowered on the other platforms. Hence Naughty Dog proves again that its games can only be made on PS3.
