P.S. I love you, Jim.
But I think it's quite sad that so many people are mocking Lost because they didn't understand the ending, maybe if you all used your minds a bit, and actually followed Lost, you would understand the ending. I understand there were many unanswered questions- but if all the questions were answered, it wouldn't be Lost would it?
I thought the ending was fantastic for such an incredible show. It's such a shame that so many people just don't get it.
P.S- no the island wasn't purgatory, yes they all survived that plane crash in the first episode.
P.S.S- yes I understand this has nothing to do with video games. :)
Hey advertisers of DTOID, we're tired of STERLING, so advertise on the articles he DOESN'T write!
20 bucks says the Kotaku article has that one shot of the first person gun scene and writes 3 paragraphs on it.
Taken from sicki.
Okay, woah, wait, I'mma step out here and say that there's a reason nobody is bitching over this unlike te C-Blogs. The only people who will post here are editors. It's not like this is a free bastion where it's every man for himself or anything like that. There is no competition here. They can do whatever they want on the frontpage. It's theirs. We're not sharing.
Nice try.
And while I'm at it...
@TheJesusNinja26
Narrative =/= a show's ending.
As if the narrative is unique to Lost anyway but that's not the point. You're talking about a whole different thing than Kotaku or why Jim is criticizing Kotaku for bringing up.
Also, why the Kotaku hate?
I even bought the damn Lost game ($6 at Circuit City when it was going out of business) so my fellow Lost-fan friends and I could play through it and laugh our asses off over how bad it was.
Every time you turned a corner it LOOKED like there was a promising scene ahead, but then it screwed you over and gave you yet ANOTHER fuse-connector puzzle.
Basically the entire game is collection loose fuses and tropical fruit on the ground. I'm not even joking.
And finally, you save up all of your coconuts and papayas so you can trade for a Gun from Sawyer that is used TWICE in the entire rest of the game.
Bravo, Lost-game team.
Why the Kotaku hate? Isn't it obvious?
When Editors post Film Industry Tweets as news, there is a problem.
When Editors make a news post on why they didn't use a helmet in Mass Effect 2, there is a problem.
When Editors make continuous posts on cellular scientific developments, that have nothing to do with gaming, there is a problem.
Then they have the nerve to actually REPOST 4Chan memes without any commentary. WHAT THE FUCK!
When they make a completely batshit post: take a look at the comments. Do you see anyone calling them out? Nope. That's because they're immediately banned for having an opinion contrary to Gawker Media.
Kotaku is getting worse with every day.
