I don't know what Red Faction Battlegrounds is, but it is a thing. THQ registered a website domain for this name on August 10th. The name makes me think of a light version of a franchise game, but don't take that to heart. It could be some full-blown console experience with lights and laser beams and whatnot.
Maybe source superannuation is onto something. They say that the title sounds like a portable thing meant to be played in short bursts. Hey, it kinda does. Or maybe that's just the power of suggestion.

Keep in mind that THQ is doing this Syfy movie called Origins too. This could be anything -- a comic, some internet thing, a Facebook game...
