Hopefully it's hilariously parodical, 'cause it actually looks pretty fun, but about as generic as possible in other ways.

I need a side scroller thingy game kind of like this. I like the normalish ones that dont have 1.2 millions bullets on screen at a single time, I suck big time at those intense games but I like them.

I wish a dev would draw influence from something like Gurren Laggann for a shooter. Methinks such a thing would be amazing, piercing the heavens with your lasers and missiles...

Everyone, including Konami, has a different answer. I want a retail release, and I want it now. If this gets bumped down to XBLA I'll be crushed. I've been waiting for this ever since they said it may come to the US, I'm ready to drop 60 bucks on this, because I'm that excited about it.
Special edition stuff would be nice, too. Or just make the Japanese version region free.

I hope they don't try for a $60 release. The only way to get sales of shmups in this country would be to go for a $30 release max.
@RenegadePanda: Konami confirmed at E3 that it's coming to the US. Though there's not really a release date, not to mention the US hasn't gotten ANY OTHER NEWS since then.
The pirate catgirl appears to be the personification of the pirate cat ships that appear in the Parodius series. She has the same hat and bell-collar.

Huh, I can't seem to remember many games in the Gradius series to have simultaneous play (though all I know of is G5), and three people at that. Looks interesting.
So...the average Otaku/salary-man in Tokyo are supposed to be focusing on what during the gameplay? The bullet hell or avoiding their cum from spraying all over the screen?
Actually, the first thing that really caught me about the trailer was the music. I could use a fun side-scrolling shooter like this, but I'm kind of turned off by the hyper-cleavage aesthetic.
