Last week Destructoid and several other outlets were invited to a 2K Games review event to evaluate the MP component of BioShock 2 -- a delicious bit of early access that I found as satisfying as the booze and hamburgers served at the event. But after I gorged on the component and feast, I stopped to have a chat with some of the crew responsible for the component: Digital Extreme's Mathieu Berube and 2K Marin's Melissa Miller.
I asked the two why it was necessary to include multiplayer in the sequel to a game that was lauded for its rich solo play. I even dug in a bit about the differences in development between the two titles, and asked the all important question: what happens if people don't like the game? The results are filled with hilarious profanity.

For some reason whenever a video/picture/drawing/sentence is put up on a gaming website it always gets immediate views and comments from 12 year olds or single guys thinking that everyone wants to know that they would tap that.
This is why we gamers can't have nice things and why some gamers can't get real life girlfriends (obviously not R3Y because he is a BEAST!).

Picked up my Bioshock 2 along with Mass Effect 2, Dante's Inferno and Tatsunoku vs Capcom today. Can you believe they gave me Big/Little Sister figures, $30 in gift cards AND Tatsunoku vs Capcom for free? I can't help but feel they didn't think out that sale very well.

Anyhow, I've spent the early morning today playing Bioshock 2 and just picked up my second adoptee. I haven't played multiplayer yet, but it looks fantastic as well.
