What Cooking Mama should have been? Hell's Kitchen game announced photo

With the popularity of Cooking Mama, it was only a matter of time before somebody came up with the "grand" idea of giving the most entertaining chef on television his own game to punish us with. Announced for sometime in 2008 by none other than "who the heck are we again?" Ludia, the game promises to tap into the trademark intensity that Gordon Ramsay is known for.

On one hand, I find myself terribly excited by this news. On the other, I cringe in fear at what a bastardization of a great show this might turn out to be. I'm as big a fan of Hell's Kitchen as you can get, and I look forward to seeing Ramsay "come undone" each week in fits of rage over the littlest of things. For the first time in my life, I actually care about a cooking/reality show. That alone speaks volumes.

At this point, the game is said to be for all major platforms, including consoles, PCs, and even cell phones. I'm not sure how well calling people "DONKEY!" will go over with Nintendo's audience (should the game end up on the Wii), but throwing plates and dumping entrées on hapless people by way of the Wiimote would be the best use of the waggle-stick yet. On further thought, this man could probably make Simon Cowell cry -- which is no easy feat. I can't wait! Would you buy this game?

@Aerox

Don't forget about Aaron- the cowboy hat wearing, weeping Asian man.

Oh, I didn't forget Aaron, but he's nothing compared to the glory of Dewberry.

THE MAN IS NAMED DEWBERRY.

It would be nice if he had a cowboy hat though. I can't help but believe Aaron was a plant just based on how long he stayed while being completely worthless. He literally didn't do anything right AT ALL, yet stayed for like 4 or 5 episodes. I feel like Dewberry was genuinely that fucked up.

I hope they won't censure the game btw.

Gordon Ramsey video game? I'm in. Now, the same goes for me like my fellow Dtoider Spykron pointed out:

Where the fuck is the Bob Ross Joy of Painting game?

I'm afraid to say that no one could do a Bob Ross game any justice. The man entertained millions (and those of us who watched public television for lack of cable) with his beautiful artwork.

I mean, the man coined the term "happy trees." Who could honor him rightly? Very few, I suppose.

Ramsay is awesome. I always felt bad though, when he'd sit there for like 5 minutes saying "oh these are both really good, I cant decide which team wins" and then randomly picks one team to send off on some grand reward awesomeness while the other team guts fish for 3 hours as their punishment for losing. There's no silver medal with gordon ramsay.

tut tut, gameboi... for such a huge fan to fumble over something as simple as the spelling of Gordon's surname. It's Ramsay, man... sort it out ^^

Hey, Gordon is indeed the man and very entertaining and informatively addictive viewing. Learn how to cook, and watch him throw plates at people.

You yanks got your show a bit watered down, but still good. I just can't wait to see what the U.S does with Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, as that show is just, if not more awesome than Hells Kitchen.

I'm sorry, Iron Chef the original japanese one is good. But the U.S one isnt that hot in comparison.

Yeah the British version of Kitchen Nightmares is awesome. The only show on the BBC America channel worth watching. My favorite episode is the one where this one emo chef tries to avoid Gordon by locking him out of his resturant.
