I'd like 'The Last of us' to be an openish world game- i hope it's not just Uncharted in a different place, I'd shit for a game which was basically GTA in space, with space combat and landing on planets, exploring planets. I say that every year. I tried to play Evochron mercenary but you can't GET OUT OF YOUR SHIP AND WALK AROUND and it's obscenely complicated trying to land on a planet any time soon. I just keep warping into planets and exploding because I'm impatient.Prey 2 does look good despite how sick I am of FPS.
SURPRISES
Seriously, I want to be surprised. I want to see some new games or hardware out of left field that make me reconsider what's possible in gaming. If I knew what I was excited for, it wouldn't be exciting. That.
LOL
It gets under my skin when people get this phrase wrong:
Adrian Smith: Vita, 3ds and the last of us. !!!"I could give two shits about wii u"!!!
@Adrian Smith: this implys that you do have shits to give about the Wii U.
"I couldn't give two shits," would mean that the subject is totally unimportant, and no fucks are given by you.
I'm so bored...
I'd like to see Gabe Newell to appear at Nintendo's press conference and announce that Nintendo and Valve are working together on the Nintendo Network, that all Valve games will be available on the virtual console (and vice versa on Nintendo classic), and that Valve is working on a new Metroid Prime game with a new engine that will be used to make Half-Life 3, which will be coming to consoles as a Wii U exclusive.
That's probably not going to happen, but then again I said the same thing about a new Kid Icarus game.
Really? Well i guess thats not a suprise since they dont market games and hardly publish games anymore.
a new Rainbow Six
Last Guardian
TIME SPLITTERS 4444444444444444444$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!
After that it is definitely the Nintendo conference I'm excited for, I want to know their plans, the games, an actual example of mario or any other nintendo franchise running in HD, of course I have always considered Mario Galaxy 2 to be one of the most prettiest games I've played, but it will be interesting to see how Nintendo games benefit from better hardware.
And I want more of the what the Wii offered. I don't want some big AAA experience on the Wii U, nope I just want nintendo to expand on what the Wii offered (minus the shovel ware of course), I may sound like a typical Nintendo fanboy, but what the Wii's exclusives do are the reason I game, gameplay, fun, not spectacle and some big narrative, don't get me wrong, there is definitely room for that type of game, hell some of my favorite games have both of those traits, but more often than not these traits intrude in what is described as the interactive medium. The Wii has been my gateway drug, with so many set piece filled games, it's nice to take a break.
Also, it would be nice to see Nintendo blow everyone one out of the water.
Also, the videogames.
Ain't that right bud?
And if Sony doesn't have playable Last Guardian then they're dead to me.
And I'm not sure when this ryan perez joined the site but I'll be sure to ignore his opinions in the future.
Also, looking forward to the not announcement of HL3/EP3. Goddammit Valve.
Oh, and a release date for The Last Guardian.
What I want out of Nintendo is not something that I'm going to get 50% of the time. Of course they might create something that I didn't know that I wanted before, that happens sometimes but my hopes aren't high. I hope the WiiU can do much more than I suspect, but that's about it.
As a Retro Gamer, what I really want from an E3 are franchises from the 80s and 90s that come back so unique and good that they blow the roof off of the convention center. But that only happens once every 2-3 E3 shows.
As a modern gamer... I have no idea what I want. Show me something really god damn impressive and cool! Not bullshit like LA Noir that barely constitutes being a game.
Maybe there will be a console based 1-4 player version of Age of Conan or Thug Death starring the reanimated corpse of Tupac Shakur on tour(final boss is a city sized Biggie Smalls?) or even something that comes across as a gender-flipped version of Ratchet and Clank?
Also the Spanish Inquisition.
Also, something exciting about the Wii U. Just anything.
I'd love to get really excited about next gen.. but its going to take a low price point, reasonable online services (also at a low price point) and something other than the expected better graphics. i hope that's the Wii U, but I want to know that the motion control boom produced something decent.
Also Fable 4. For better or worse, I'm totally invested in Albion, and I really want to see what's going on next. My grudge with Reaper is getting pretty fierce. Hope I get a chance to take a shot at him...
