Still trying to figure out what you want to be this Halloween? Well my loyal robots, you're in luck! Today I shall aid you in your quest at impressing all of your friends with some excellent Halloween costume ideas.
Before we proceed, I'd like to make a request from all of you.
If you plan on dressing up as a game character for Halloween send your pictures to me! Actually, scratch that. If you dress up as ANYTHING this Halloween, send in your pics and/or videos to me at cybernetictigerz AT gmail.com. Sometime during the week of Halloween, I’d like to throw up a huge gallery of all the Dtoiders costumes.
Now lets jump on in and see what's cooking!
Thanks to
You NEWB for having the same idea as me and making me do less work! They compiled an impressive list of Video Game themed costumes.
Ladies, have you ever dreamed of kicking ass like Chun-Li? Guys, have you ever dreamed of getting your ass kicked by Chun-Li? Well now you can make it happen! God damn it. The auction ended in February. What the hell NEWBS?!? Well, at least there is this
Dead or Alive outfit you can purchase! The only requirement is that you have breasts bigger than a whale. (The seller also has some Final Fantasy themed costumes for sale too)

You NEWB also came across this ... really bad
Mario costume and a really hot Princess Peach costume. Mario’s costume costs $59 and Peach's costume costs $64. $59? Seriously? Just go to a Wal-Mart and pick up a red shirt, red hat, and overalls for $25ish. (Am I the only one who thinks it be so awesome to bang a chick wearing the Peach outfit? ... Sometimes, when I get a hard on, I imagine the super mushroom sound effect ... )

Lastly from the NEWBers, they have this neat
DIY Halo Armor they found. I was going to link to a company that made the most sickest Halo Armor ever, but it looks like the company went under.
GameSpot has a story about them. Maybe the $3,500 price tag had something to do with them sinking ...

Here's another neato DIY costume of Gordon Freeman from that one game that kinda sucks compared to Halo 2 (BRING ON THE FLAME WAR!!!11!!) over at
Game Spy and via
AeroPause. This costume was made
using only cardboard, duct tape, and perspiration. In this camera stance, I'm fending off my prop head crab that's "jumping" at me with my trusted crowbar.

Over at
Vintage Computing, they proudly present the worst (video game themed) costume ever. I could make fun of it, but VC came up with their own little jab that I got a chuckle out of:
Say, Charlie…we’ve got this great idea…kids can dress up as the game Asteroids for Halloween. Their face will look like a disfigured conglomeration of hollow rocks! We’ll sell ten million units in three months — each family buying two or three costumes a piece because, quite frankly, we shit gold.”

Want to embarrass the hell out of your kids this season? Then get them this
horrible looking Pikachu outfit at Amazon. $35 sounds very reasonable to give your kid a life time of torture. Capture it on video and it may end up being as famous as N64 Kid one day!

Now here is a totally bad ass costume. A lot of time and dedication must have went into making this sw33t Elite outfit. If you don't know, this costume was inspired from the Halo series.
Check out more pics here.
Lets finish things off with some ideas Destructoid has covered in the past. First we got those amazing
rotating Tetris block costumes. Then there is that super sick outfit of
Pyramid Head. There's also the super simplistic
Pong costume, the
Dragon-Duck monster costume of Adventure fame, and the super simple outfits of the
Final Fight series. And last, but certainly note least, we have Dtoid's very own Gregor and his
DIY Destructoid helmet

If you're still looking for more ideas, check out our other
cosplay posts not mentioned here.
Have a good Halloween everybody! And don't forget to send in those pics!
Think how much confectionery you'd give to stop someone rickrolling you...
Is this shameless advertising?
I'm going as someone from Whams' Club Tropicana video. Nothing to do with games but you did ask.
