Here's a trailer for Deep Silver's spooky new Wii game, Cursed Mountain. With so many Wii games focused on family entertainment and "casual" play, Cursed Mountain has certainly benefited from being one of the darker, scarier looking games for the system.

The above video shows a lot of promise. The whole idea of apparitions coming at you from the thick snow is something that should generate a good amount of terror, and the story is definitely among the more interesting I've heard in a while.

Hopefully Deep Silver can pull off a winner with this.

I like the title, but still...

You were doomed as soon as you lost the ability to love.

Is this title a Black Dahlia Murder reference, or a Bear vs. Shark reference?

You've been listing a lot of "non-casual" wii games as of late, which look to be changing the image you may have had on the wii.

Looking forward there's a ton of games coming that look to satisfy mature gamers (mature as in IPs that make you think rather then just pour blood out of your eyeballs).

Tenchu IV
Sin and Punishment 2
House of the Dead
Mad World
The Conduit
Demon Blade
Punch Out!!!
Ready 2 Rumble
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes (one can dream)

I don't see any of these being picked up, let alone noticed by the casual market, all but one of which are third party as well.

Its just a matter of time when different games will bring gamers back or not.

Its just nice that gaming has expanded to everyone and that there's still too many games coming to be able to buy.

I just realized you might be joking theplanman. If you weren't, both of those bands are referencing the same thing, which is also referenced by the title of this news story and by half of the comments made here.

Economy got you down for Christmas? Heres a great stocking stuffer for $9.95!

What the HELL is up with that add that blocks 15% of my video? I guess it was blocking the only "good" 15% of that clip as the trailer was nothing special in my books but I'm a sucker for horror games so I am interested :)

You thought I was going to go all Wii games suck, boo Wii so NOW you can't comeback with a butthurt comment, heyyuk.

Ahah, the title...I see what you did there.

The game looks promising. It reminds me of a mix between Ku-on and The Thing. Will play.

Yeah this looks really promising. The list of good looking hardcore 3rd Party Wii games for 2009 is growing more, and more each week. Lets just hope they all pan out well!
