I'm one of those purists. When the original voice actors for Dragon Ball Z got replaced with a new set of voice actors halfway through the Freeza saga, I was pissed. The original voices were perfect, especially Piccolo's and Vegeta's. Eventually, I got used to them, but I would never forget the original cast.

Here we are today, with the latest Dragon Ball Z game, where they've gone and recreated scenes from the series. One of the most pivotal scenes in Internet meme history was recreated in Burst Limit, and well, it just doesn't work out. Take a look for yourself.

This just makes you wonder: Had these people been the original voice actors, would Kajetokun been the Internet superstar that he is today?

And while we're talking about Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, go enter our OVER 9000!!!! contest, where you can win the game, an Xbox 360 and more!

Ugh... how awful. In a game like this, they could have easily used the original voices

Especially the long pauses between the sentences don't make it any better.

My feelings are hurt now.

I love how he wants this meme to die so bad. He was so tired of it even a month after he made it. Oh man, I'll have to give him a hard time at AX next week.

Well, keep in mind that the entire first part of the series has been redubbed with the actors that did the rest of the series. Saban's dub is out of print, if I'm not mistaken. So it would be really weird for them to use the really old dub actors instead of the current official ones.

That being said, god, those actors are not made for those lines.

Yeah, not meme material, but it's supposedly more realistic-sounding than the original voice actors. Remastered DBZ collection, they did the same thing there.

The original DBZ voice acting was retarded. The whole reason OVER 9000! became a meme was because it was a retarded delivery. The new voice actors are only slightly less retarded. DBZ is a retarded show about spikey-haired retards screaming at each other for 20 episodes before having retarded fights.

you all should watch Dragon ball Z in portuguese.
Now that rocks.

Portuguese got Dragon ball Z ages before USA, not only DBZ but the original Dragon Ball series. (maybe you guys got the dragon ball serie too)

First time I watched dragon ball I was 7 years, and that was 13 years ago. Shit I feel old.
