WET sequel on the cards? A2M thinks it could happen photo

Say what you will about WET, it was certainly a good idea at the time. Some felt that idea worked, others did not, but developer A2M wouldn't mind another crack of the whip, suggesting that there's plenty of potential for more games in the "iconic" WET universe.

"I think it’s fair to say that we definitely built a very iconic universe whose span is bigger than this first installment," said WET creative director Patrick Fortier.

I thought the game showed promise, and loved the silly Tarantino-esque vibe that was given off, not to mention those awesome rampage moments. What about you, though? Would you be interested in a WET sequel? Do you think the original game had potential that could be realized with a further game, or is it a franchise that should be forgotten? Speak your mind, or forever hold your peace.

Thank god for government financing.

God damn it, it's not 'Tarantino-esque', it's 70's grindhouse, which Tarantino just happens to shamelessly plagiarise and directly cut 'n' paste from.

Ahem. Anyway.

I enjoyed WET, up until the final ''boss'' at least. It had some great moments, the core gameplay was solid and they nailed the style, it mostly just had issues with repetition and slightly sloppy controls. I'm all game for a sequel. Tighten it up (WET, A2M, tight, lul lul lul), add a little more variety in there (could have really done without every 'rage' segment starting with the exact same animation) and I'd happily buy a sequel on launch.

Fixed, but yes.

And WET sucked.

Tarantino-esque. Anyone that ends up understanding what Tarantino is about already knows that its not originally his style. He's just using it in a modern context, with his own foot fetish spin on it.

Welcome to Tarantino-esque. Its ok, man.

I didn't like the first one at all, and if they use the same formula for the second one, won't like that one at all.

Give me a PC version, so I don't have to deal with a stiff analog stick, then we'll talk.

Man, I loved WET. Maybe not long enough, and could've used some more variety, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and was sad to see it over. Loved that it was so over-the-top and earned its M rating. Loved the grindhouse vibe - though Rubi needed to drive a badass muscle car! I will be in line for a sequel.

I could go for a sequel. I liked WET, but it was clear that they should have taken longer to flesh it out. maybe in a sequel they can make it better. hell, they've given a lot of liberty in Giving Assassin's Creed a sequel and the first one sucked harder than WET ever could.

BADASS. Can't wait for it. The first was basically my ideal action game. Now that they've got the basic formula down they should be able to focus on adding some meat to the bones, so to speak.

I would definitely rent WET 2.

I'd definitely give a sequel, and a PC version would be nice.

I'd love another game if it fixed most of the issues with the first one. Too short, poor pacing, occasional terrible level design, total lack of not minigun bosses and complete and total absence of naked Rubi.

I loved WET to death until the same point every other fan of the game did, the final boss. So, really, there is one thing I want in WET2 (or WETTER, or whatever stupid name I can't think of), and that is to FIGHT the final boss. Now, I don't hate QTE's (I like Ninja Blade), but the final QTE fight has to be one of the most boring I've experienced in quite some time.

Well, you got her arse in impractical underwear for a few seconds. Not sure I want her to get naked anyway given that she looks like Joe Perry.

And why not? Wet wasn't perfect, but its has potential if tweaked and built upon.

Draw influences from other cool games, bring some fresh ideas and keep this series going.

Definitely, I've already got the title.

Absolutely loved Wet and want to see a sequel badly. Even if it ends up being a quickly developed cash-in, but not that I can see that happening because they'll probably improve everything being criticised.

The only thing that I myself would want to see changed is what everyone (who loves or hates Wet) is already complaining about, a proper final boss. It was really dissapointing for me because the last game I played before Wet was Wolfenstein and without spoiling it, that had a challenging, multi-part final boss battle in a good setting. To go from that to the not-really-a-final-boss in Wet was a letdown, even though I probably enjoyed Wet overall more than Wolfenstein.

I would love a sequal to WET. It delivered what it said, an over-the-top action experience, and I think there is a lot of potential for another. The action sequences where brilliant so more variations on them is a must. Trains, subways, or even just more spectacular car jumping moments.

Yeah, I'd love sequel to a game featuring "eXTrEme-focus-group" hot girl with guns.

So much depth.

is it just me, or is "A2M" quite possibly the worst initials\acronym ever for a company to use\have?

I liked it, and would like to see more. While the first installment (hoping...) was not perfect, it was fun more often than not. Style was enough to overcome the substance issues (bugs, pacing, variety, etc.) once, but the underlying mechanics would need to be tightened up for a sequel.

If they could do that, I'd be happy to hang with Rubi a few more times.

I'd love to see a proper sequel, fix the clunky controls, give it some more depth and fix the god damn audio sync (atleast on the PS3). I did enjoy the game and will eventually playthough it again, however just make a proper sequel.

Wet wasn't that bad. A sequel where they fix some of the problems with the controls and camera and i'd be down.
