Hot chick with big jubblies? Check. Half naked for parts of the trailer? Check. Guns, swords and gore? Check. A reference to Jesus Christ? Umm, maybe. WET is the new action adventure game from Sierra that will be hitting shelves sometime in 2008.
The game follows Rubi, a bounty hunter that was given a simple job, but it ended up nearly costing her life. Now she's out for revenge and physics be damned as she wall runs, shoots her enemies as she slides down a ladder upside down and dodges bullets point blank.
I'm really looking forward to this game. It's not often that swords and guns are mixed together as good as what this game is promising. No, Red Steel doesn't count ... and don't even get me started on the piece of crap that was Cy Girls.

SIERRA ENTERTAINMENT UNVEILS THE ACROBATIC NEW SHOOTER WET™
Sierra Entertainment Introduces WET's powerful heroine, Rubi, as She Makes Her Debut on Consoles Worldwide in 2008
Los Angeles, CA - August 22, 2007 - Sierra Entertainment today announced WET™, a seamless integration of intense gunplay, death-defying acrobatics and exciting swordplay, framed by breathtaking art direction and unparalleled animation quality.
Developed by A2M, WET tells the story of Rubi, an acrobatic gun-for-hire. When she agrees to help a wealthy man find and bring back his wayward son, all hell breaks loose and the tables are turned, as the man who hired her isn't who he appeared to be. Now Rubi's on the run, needing to find the man who left her for dead and leaving a massive body count in her wake.
In an adventure that spans three continents; WET will keep the adrenaline pumping from start to finish.
"The mix of guns, acrobatics and swords in the midst of non-stop action will undoubtedly ensure Rubi takes the title as the most exciting heroine ever in video games," said Martin Tremblay, president, Worldwide Studios, Sierra Entertainment. "WET is an exciting addition to Sierra Entertainment's original games portfolio."
WET features include:
Innovative 3rd person shooter gameplay: With her trusty twin custom made Colt Pythons, Rubi gracefully engages in amazing, cinematic high-body count gunplay against diverse and challenging enemies.
Acrobatics: Along with her guns, Rubi has an arsenal of death-defying acrobatic moves. Her incredible agility allows her to climb on ledges, slide under obstacles, swing on poles and run along walls.
Swordplay: Rubi's sword is an instrument for deadly close-quarter proximity attacks. Rubi will unleash a flurry of multi-staged stylized attack sequences.

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Hmm. Seems promising. I'd like to see something more creative out of Sierra than Scarface, despite how much fun running kilos in 1980s Miami is. Will keep an eye out for sure.
So many shitty games have had awesome trailers like this, though I'll admit this looks better than most. I will reserve all judgement on this until I see gameplay, and read some reviews. Unfortunately, I could probably assume this would be crap, and be right. I hope to god A2M proves me wrong.
I'll refrain judgment until I see some gameplay. I can't get excited over a CG clip. It looks OK though. Think Tomb Raider, but really gory. That could be something cool. Could be...
I like the name. Clever. Alludes to something of a sexual nature while also referring to 'wet work'. God only knows what the game is going to be like but I liked the trailer; very well put together.
Sound reasoning there, brainderailment. Glad to see some people willing to just throw these things out there without the need for explaination. Saves time, effort and thought. Nice.
Have you guys ever seen Black Lagoon (anime)? Rubi reminds me wayy too much of Revi (or Levi)... the tattoo on her arm seems to give it away. See for yourself

Awesomer Firefly-esque music.
I totally agree and just pray to gawd that the game doesnt blow.
Sierra doesn't make the game, A2M is the developper. Sierra only publishes the game, big difference.
Always end with a joke.

Damn this ADD.
The Matrix + Kill Bill + suggestive title
= Profit!
I'm calling it right now. This game will blow. It'll be worse than Bullet Witch. Mark my words. Screw reserving judgment.
it does??!!?! gee! like 'sopping wet gash' or something huh?
