WET demo available now for Xbox 360 photo

A demo for the Bethesda Softworks-published A2M-developed third-person action title, WET, is now available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

The 632 MB demo will give you a taste of the games various game mechanics, including controlling Rubi as she dual-wields her pistols, and goes into a bloody and violent rage. You know, for the kids. For now, the demo is available for Xbox LIVE Gold members only.

We recently went hands on with WET ourselves, so if for whatever reason you can't or don't want to play the demo, you can read some words about it. If you've played the demo, let us know what you think in the comments.

Downloaded the demo off the UK PSN last week (which was free Mr.Microsoft)... and well, it was poor in nearly every single aspect.

I'll give it a spin when I get home from work. Seems like it might offer a few thrills.

Very average. The main problem I had with it was the very limited (feeling?) movement. The soundtrack, however, kicks some ass. Also, needs moar Eliza.

This demo is epic. it like stranglehold, max payne and perfect dark had a baby. the end segment to the demo is just OMFG did you just see that! you actually feel sorry for some of the AI enemies because thier death was just ouch! they watch themselves bleed to death. its hard but a springboard triple kill is just full of epic reward mentally.

I thought the game was ok. Not bad but nothing to get that excited about. It felt a lot like Stranglehold but with a fantastic Grindhouse presentation. The QTE highway scene at the end was balls though.

Just because Bethesda is tied to this game in someway won't automatically make it a AAA-title. I'll demo it when I get home from work, but this is looking like an average fall shooter in the wake of Uncharted 2, MW2, and L4D2.

I'll check it out for sure. I just finished Stranglehold a few days ago and I enjoyed it for how dumb it is.

I thought it was alright, just that it glitched on me. :/

Painfully average, And I agree with you on all points.

Perlee was right, Stranglehold and Prince of Persia had a baby. This is definitely
a rent.

From what I recieved from the demo, it's a decent game. The music is amazing though. The moment I finished the demo, I hoped online to see if the soundtrack was out on sale. If it ever does go out on sale, I swear I'm going to buy it. The soundtrack is awesome

It was a fun game over all.
But what stood out to me was the Grindhouse feel and I loved that. The soundtrack madee me think it was very Tarantino esque and I'd love to see how the rest of the game pans out.
I will check this out.
It'll probably be the same amount of fun as Stranglehold which, although in no way perfect, I had a lot of fun with.

If this is how I'm understanding it (Stranglehold/Grindhouse hybrid) I will have an unhealthy love for this game and all the cool kids and "real" gamers will hate me for praising it as God's gift to mankind.

I am so easily entertained. :P

feels really static. whhy cant you jump from a wall run.why cant you link all that "free running" ability together???????? its too glitchy . if it was smoother it'd be brillers. but i reckon its a solid 6/7. might buy it finish it then sell it before the trade in value goes down. this makes the news that beyond good adn evil 2 being delayed even more heart breaking

I really had fun with the demo. Once this game hits $20 I'm all over it.

It has many flaws, I don't like the music, it could use a little bit more style, the concept of scripted button sequences should be dropped, in every game.

That being said, I like it and it tries to be different (even if just a little). The good will overcome the bad in this game, I think.

Great music - trying to locate the MP3s. The game was fun enough. Agree that it in certain aspects, moves feel limited.

I will rent it for sure. Part if HotD's overkill was the grindhoyse feel Wet also features. Although I hope they work the voice over guy into the game.

I kinda liked it haven't played a mindless shooter in awhile i love that it doesn't take itself to seriously, loved the style the sliding, jumping while shooting stuff was fun. Also i dug the weird soundtrack and grindhouse style screen filters and the character intros it isn't as masterpiece and it isn't a buy but a good solid fun rental that im looking forward. Can't wait to get...Wet lol

A seriously average game, especially the lacking graphics, and the PS2 era faces. Factor in piss east enemies and this game is not worth 10 bucks, let alone 60. Seriously playing this on a 1080P HDTV is not a good idea at all. The people who said it had restrictive movement were right, it doesn't have a flow like other games in it's genre have. Everything is 'stop-start' feeling to it.

I love stranglehold and the max payne games, and this pales in comparision to them, rent it if you must, but the demo left a really repulsive taste in my mouth, so no buy from me at all.
