Especially since her waist in the over-sized cover is thinner than her actual waist to the right.
Why do they do this? Is she just not pretty enough to sell magazines?!?!
Now you've degraded yourself, helped push the stereotype of women journalists, and generally given gamers' legitimacy yet another kick in the testicles, where are you headed next?
Oh, I know. Sex tape right!
I don't know, it just seems like posts like these and many of Hamza's posts, where we're told about an actress/whatever voicing a game just so he can post borderline-softcore pictures of her in the photo gallery, are turning away a lot of female gamers, and would give newcomers the impression that Destructoid is all about "tits for hits".
Because it's worthless "news." First of all, she's not a game. Secondly, she doesn't have anything unique about herself that makes her any better then the millions of other woman that can be found. Thirdly, the whole point of putting her in a magazine like Playboy would be to market this softcore material towards the demographic that sits in front of a screen all doing, and it just so happens that entire demographic knows how to use google and get free hardcore material after a few clicks.
She's part of the gaming community? Well too bad. She's not worth the money of how ever much the magazine costs, and she's not worth being reported over as news. Hell, I had no clue who she was before all these dumb reports of her kept popping up on every gaming site/blogs, and now I'm annoyed that I seen enough of these headlines to know who she is now.
First of all...tits. She has them and some of us would like to get close to having a look at them, making this approximately newsworthy.
Second of all...you just spent way too much time on your very well thought out diatribe. Congratulations.
I wish her the best, whatever she does. She's a co-host on a game related show, damn cute and therefore its as news worthy, as a new Lara Croft model parade.
If you want to make it more interesting Dtoid, go and interview the lass.

I mean, it's no wonder gamers are seen as hormonal teenage boys when this kind of thing gets attention. Just because I like video games doesn't mean I have any interest in Playboy and don't appreciate the assumption that I do.
Also, it's hilarious to me that people are somehow claiming that Dtoid providing any coverage of this is somehow reinforcing negative stereotypes about gamers.
ZOMG!!!11!!one1!!11! Dtoid covers Olivia Munn in Playboy!!!??? Game journalism has been upended... /sarcasm
"pfffft she's not even naked, who cares"
-----------------------------------------
um, she got payed money to stand in front of a camera, that's all it was about people, who wouldn't do that
Oh no, I guess because I spent a minute typing out a comment, all my points I stated have been debunked. I feel so ashamed =(
Have fun paying for a magazine just to see a co-host of a video game show pose in a bikini ;)
Hamza's middle name isn't CTZ. On a "journalism" site, we'd probably just call him Hamza.
Also, you're all right- this is a different angle of a similar photo.
Personally, I couldn't care less about Olivia Munn. She barely belongs on G4 in my opinion, and she's just supposed to be eye candy. They flaunt that fact multiple times, and show videos of her eating hot dogs in slow motion, and I just don't give a shit. Whoo, she's in a skimpy bikini. Hooray.
