You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of our finest remaining urban centers. I thought so much of MAGFest 8, that I elected to establish my administration, here, in the citadel, so thoughtfully provided by our benefactors. I am proud to call MAGFest 8 my home. And so, whether you are here to stay the weekend, or passing through to parts unknown for a day, welcome, to MAGFest 8. It's safer here.
That's right, MAGFest Episode 8 is happening, and starting TOMORROW NIGHT*! Four days of nonstop gaming, mayhem, fun, and probably quite a bit of debauchery. The DC/MD/VA NARP group will be there throwing down like we know how, suite style! So come out and join us if you are in the area or not.

This is a little of what the concerts were like last year.
Majority of us will be there Friday through Sunday but some of us can be found on Thursday and Monday as well. Really curious about who is showing up? Here's a quick list of people who said they will be showing their head around the citadel:

Also Metroid Metal was the highlight of my PAX this year. You HAVE to buy Varia Suite and support the artists, that album is so fucking amazingly well done.
beats me. i'm slowly learning things on modding sticks. I'm too busy trying to dual mod my 360 TE but i'm low on money.
on that note, I think i'm going to bring my TE, that shitty EX2 stick, and the T5 hori stick just in case. I'll keep the last 2 in the car cause that's too much shit to lug around....
DAMMIT. I REEEEAlly wish I'd heard of this before. The new year's party looks 9001 times more awesome than anything I'm going to be doing. I'm gonna try and make it to the rest of the weekend though, I don't know what the commute will be like.

I dual-modded a Fighting Stick Wii. It wasn't easy but I would estimate that overall it cost me about the same as a Tournament Edition Fightstick. Where do you think such devices would be used? And could I trust the DtoidBaltimoreDC room to hold it safely until I return to my own base?
if anything, in the game room as you're allowed to use your sticks if you want. though They're saying they'll have sticks available if you want to use them. I kinda just want to bring my TE so I can play crap on my laptop if I want. (probably doing Third Strike training and whatnot.)

Also, will there be room for me to use my own arcade stick or should I just leave it?
I say bring just in case. who knows what's going down in the rooms...and outside the room.
I forgot the PS2 and Gamecube cables I made for it. Which make up half the reason I put it together in the first place.
Oh well. I do have the tools on me to make one of them, but I'll need a cable of one of their controllers. Any ideas?

Well TwinGalaxies was there with 2 attempts at a world record but one cab busted and the other...I forget.

Yes, you are allowed to use your own stuff. Tourney freaks "have" to use their own controls cause they put cheat microchips in them, ha!
Do you suppose they'll have any versions or clones of Tetris The Grand Master? I've been practicing in my room these last few nights.
