Japanese television must be the most ultra sensory experience. If the Chu Chu Rocket commercial didn't convince you, take a gander at this one. The game is Totato Adventure for the Game Boy Advance, a bizarre role playing game released in 2002 which will remind you of Mother and Earthbound, mixed with Final Fantasy, rabbits, birds, frogs, and all of Paul Frank's other ex-girlfriends. I've compiled a collection of the odd gameplay movies and the special summon effects... and they're a tad different than a Chocobo and Ifrit cameo. Chocolate and Tomato anyone?
Tomato Adventure chronicles the story of a young boy named Demille (Demiru in Japan), and his quest through the Ketchup Kingdom, which he makes in order to save his kidnapped girlfriend Paslan (Pasaran in Japan) from the cluthches of the evil master of tomatoes, King Abira, and his evil followers, the appropiately titled "superkids." Demille hails from a villiage of people who are intolerant towards tomatoes, and hence areforced to live a somewhat pathetic life of segregation, away from those who enjoy the reddish vegetable.
Some extreme attacks and summon spells. Death by chocolate!!!
Summary by Matt Spears: In order to defeat these hooligans, Demille uses "gimmicks,"which are basically just high-powered styles of weapons. The abilities of these gimmicks can be increased by playing mini-games, which are conviently located on the path that you take in your journey. There are 4 types of gimmicks: timing, speed, "dokidoki" (which I'm sure means something of great significance in English), and input. In order to rescue his girl, Demille will have to travel through six different areas, each of which is run by one of the aforementioned "superkids."
