Weekly PS Store Update: LBP skins, No Doubt, and map packs photo

This week’s content on the PlayStation store is a bit short on the downloadable games front, but there is plenty of Add-on content if you happen to be a rabid LittleBigPlanet fan or one of those music game fans. Namco Bandai is publishing the only downloadable game this week. It’s called PowerUp Forever ($9.99) and capitalizes on the fact that gamers enjoy flying, shooting things and then collecting the stuff that newly destroyed things have dropped.

The offerings for LBP this week are quite vast. The Street Fighter costumes are finally live and ready for consumption. But Media Molecule has also added a Santa Clause costume (free), which should serve to get everyone pumped for the holiday season. In addition to the free Santa costumes, the old multiplayer maps for Insomniac’s Resistance: Fall of Man are now being offered for the low, low price of nothing.

Age of Booty now has several map packs that you can nab if you’re digging the downloadable title and require more content. The EndWar “Escalation” map pack and unit upgrades are now available, as well as the new Star Wars: The Force Unleashed missions ($9.99) and Character Pack ($4.99). Of course, if that isn’t enough, Guitar Hero World Tour got a few Nirvana songs and Rock Band netted a massive amount of No Doubt singles

The rest of the massive Add-on list is posted after the break. As usual, tell me what you’ve been downloading. I’m a curious person, I require these things.

Wow, the PlayStation store never ceases to underwhelm. I haven't purchased a single thing off of it. Why bother when you have 360's arcade and the Virtual Console?

Thanks for the update, thought!

Man, this week's update was so depressing. Oh sure, HOME came out, but I was kinda expecting at least one or two spiffy items on the PSN store that aren't LBP related.

Am I clinically insane, or was Lumines Supernova supposed to drop today? Or is it both? Hmm...

Wow, the PlayStation store has overwhelmed me once again! I've purchased tons of stuff off of it. I haven't even bothered with the 360's arcade and the Virtual Console.

Thanks for the update!

While my post pokes fun at yours, it's largely true.

I'm quite pleased with my totally free Football Manager Handheld 2009 to be honest. :-)

I'm with Mr. Sadistic on this one and I found that Home is just a "dance while you talk" simulator.

I want the fucking RE5 demo for crying out loud!
