The day that the majority of avid LittleBigPlanet players have been waiting for has finally arrived. The first downloadable Level Pack will debut on the PlayStation Store this Thursday. The content, dubbed Festive Level Pack, is a limited edition version of what is to come in the future. It features a large amount of content, all themed for Christmas.
Two new Costumes – Christmas Tree headpiece and a Wrapped Sackboy.
One new Create Material - Wrapping Paper (cardboard w/ giftwrap texture).
Two new Objects - A Festive Sleigh and holiday themed light.
Six new Decorations - A Festive Bauble, Bell, Wrapping Bow, Candy Cane, Card and Stocking.
A ton of new Stickers - holiday themed of course, including a Red Nose Reindeer, Elves, Turkey images and many more.
The Festive Level Pack will be priced at $2.99 and only offered through January 8. If you’re down with gaudy colors, Christmas tree costumes, and a bunch of new stickers, then this might be the purchase for you.
"Have any of your sacks dropped? Cause only allowance getting bitches whine about $3. Oh, then spend $10 on 3 maps."

I'm curious about how many of the people commenting here actually have the game in question? I'm guessing not that many, and they are just bitter jagoffs.
Oh I own the game and I have a mortgage.
If this level pack came with some pre-done levels it might be worth it but if your not into making levels than this is pretty useless.
I have the game and a job. I'd also rather pay $10 on maps that took time to balance and make playable rather than pay $2.99 for a few stickers, one or two items, and a hat for my sack boy.
And it's not just this piece of DLC that's bothering me. It's LBP being a vehicle for Sony to squeeze every dime out of this game's fans.
But I'd rather not say anymore. People feel like I'm personally attacking them when I talk about this rape-fest.
I'll get it. It's only 3 bucks dammit. It costs more to create it so shut the hell up about them being sell outs. Just don't buy it. You don't have to. And it's called a Level Pack because the game is about creating levels, BY YOURSELF!
It's not the fact that they are charging 3 dollars. It's the fact that they are charging any money at all for these things. Treat your fans with some respect and give them some stuff for free every now and then, damn.
I know that you guys are sometimes talking more about the principle of the matter- slippery slope and all that- but it's $3. You can spend that much getting a couple of 20 oz. Pepsis at a gas station. A few months ago, you couldn't get a gallon of gas for that!
It would be great if it were free, but it's not and that's that. $3 isn't worth complaining over, in my opinion, but in the end, it's all about what you think content is worth (or not worth).
What would really be great is if we would stop telling people what they should or shouldn't buy, or that they are dumb for either buying something or not wanting to buy it. To each his or her own.
I'm inclined to buy this purely to support a game I love to death. If the game was the hit is was supposed to be, and more of you were buying it, then I wouldn't feel quite as compelled. Maybe. Or I'm just a sucker.
@Hobgoblin
Wow, you're serious? I'm sorry, if you can't appreciate the concept of balance in a multiplayer map then you'll pay $5 for the Valetine's Day map pack that gives you three stickers and two Sackboy hats. At this rate if MM released one new level, they'd charge $10 for it, so don't go off the handle on people who pay $10 for 3 Halo maps, where there was a lot of testing going in to make sure they're balanced. Balance isn't a Halo phenomenon by the way, it's sought after in all multiplayer games, L4D, TF2, CS, Starcraft, Warcraft, etc.
@akathatoneguy
$3 isn't alot, but I'm not getting $3 worth of stuff. One LBP costume shouldn't cost $0.99, and a few stickers and tems shouldn't cost $2. If you've bought all the DLC so far you've spent close to $10, which gets you way more than a few costumes most everywhere else.
Most of the LBP DLC to date has been a huge rip-off that's no secret. This "Level Pack" (They need to call this something else... "Creation Pack" maybe?) is certianly a better value than what they've offered so far for the price.
I wish they would start giving us more single player levels via DLC. I would be really excited to buy that. This stuff... not so much.
Check it out, more people who probably dont even own a sony product bitching about optional content. I tell you, everytime I fee like reading a bunch of complaints about optional content for a sony game, I can always count on destructoid to deliver. Every time I go to Target I see about 2000 things I wouldnt buy & 100 things Id like to have but cant afford, if I stopped to bitch about every item that fit either of those 2 categories, Id never make it home.
I am psyched, I've been wanting more level creation tools. I'm having a little post-xmas shin-dig, and I intend to leave LBP running in the background with four controllers - I think this content will help make something more appealing for the season.
Anyway: Stop being butthurt about spending 1-3 dollars for additional content. If you love something and want it, then pony up for it. If you don't want it, great. That's our beloved free market.
Every time there's an update, they always throw a free costume for you bitchy cheapskates - and they're not obligated to give you anything. A one-time investment of sixty bucks doesn't make Media Molecule your bitch-for-life.
Those are pretty cool, at least for the few seconds I looked at it. That's the most enjoyment I could get out of it. It was free too, so that's even better.
"Coming from a Halo fan, this revelation is surprising. Companies that try to squeeze every dime out of the customers usually do it by charging to change your name, charging to play online, charing a fee on top of another fee to stream movies, charging $10 for 3 maps 1 month after release...you know, things like that."
