Free games is the theme on Steam this weekend, so if you're keen to try something new for no money down, you're in luck. On offer is the the strategy brilliance of Civilization V and the intense WWII multiplayer FPS Red Orchestra 2; both games are free to play this weekend and are reduced by 75% along with all their DLC.
If you're no fan of Steam, don't fret: GamersGate also have Civ V plus DLC reduced by 75% on their service, along with a big Spring Sale that has 75% off Metro 2033 and Just Cause, along with the Company of Heroes franchise which is reduced by 80%. Oh, and errr ... Daikatana is 75% off in case you are interested.
EA thankfully have emailed users to tell them about the sales on Origin but the limited catalog is starting to become really obvious. There's 50% off "Classic Titles" but good luck identifying which games are in the offer. GOG.com have a mixed bag of titles reduced by 50% this weekend including Soulbringer, Commandos, and Guilty Gear X2 Reloaded. As always, if you find some good deals this weekend, post them in the comments.
