[Weekend Destructainment is a collection of funny videos brought together from all across the Internet to bring you entertainment on these slow and boring weekends.]
So this guy, named Dr Zeus, performs the Legend of Zelda theme on Tesla Coils. It's .... it's different.
Ain't no party like a Destructainment party. After the break, Dtoider Mr PORC and friend sing some game music sadly. Then it's the Kirby theme played with just Windows XP error sounds. Next, some Modern Warfare 2 myths get busted.
Then check out the secret mode in Tiger Woods 10. After that, it's an old Dr. Mario ad. Followed by a promotion video for the UK launch of the PlayStation. The Destructainment ends with Mega64 and aggressive caroling.
Mr PORC and friend sing the Super Mario Kart "Mario Circuit" track, sadly.
Kirby music played with just Windows XP error messages. Spotted on GoNintendo
Modern Warfare 2 gets the MythBusters treatment.
Don't play Tiger Woods 10 on the Wii. Thanks, Christian!
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

love that Playstation promo. it brings back really good memories. Thats a big changing point in videogames right there. I burned soo many hours on destruction derby and look how slow toshinden looks compared to tekken. Ridge racer is running at a pretty hefty speed. omg love it. fanboys jump all over things like whether or not the new final fantasy will be better because of video compression, or psn being better than live because its free or some shit. but this, THIS is where its at. This video is what being a sony playstation fan is all about. I way prefer playstation to xbox and this video is why. Because it was sony who originally offered me these amazing videogame moments and took me by the hand during my teenage years. It was the true end of my 16bit gaming habits. Playstation tapped into youth culture, music & fashion. Playstation ruled our world while microsoft offered me windows '95. It wasn't until i played splinter cell on a friends xbox that i even cared for anything else. I always felt that the xbox was too american for me and i prefered the japanese-ness of the playstation. All the way back then i made my choice and to this day i stick with it!
there is nothing to argue about these days with the 360 and ps3. they both do the same shit :\ but the playstation is in my heart :D
I love those cheesy announcers on Ridge Racer and Destruction Derby.
@munkee: No need for apologies. You've got the right idea. Being a fan is about appreciating the franchise out of what it means to you, not because you think it's "the best" and it's competitors suck. If you have the time, why not elaborate in a blog post?
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
If it's not CKY then it's Knarkill, which is a fake joke band made up of 2/3 of the band at the time anyway.
