Ah, well, he could have given his PS3 to charity instead of microwaving it.... but at the end of the day if it was his PS3, he can do anything he likes with it,and that includes microwaving it.
I don't think people would have been all up in arms over this had he microwaved an Xbox 360 at the same time. Fanboy anger strikes again. Listen, just because he microwaved a console...... it doesn't mean anything! It doesn't prove anything! It doesn't mean that the PS3 is bad or good or what have you. It's a bit interesting to watch, but really, it means nothing. It's just a spectacle. If anyone gets angry over this, they are sad, sad people.
I don't know why he microwaved it - maybe it was already broken and beyond warrenty, so he decided to see what would happen. Maybe he got another PS3 from a competition or a relative, and he decided to microwave his extra on a whim. Or maybe he really did spend hundreds of dollars just to microwave something... I don't know. It's his money. It's his PS3 (hopefully, otherwise it's a criminal offense) and it's his microwave. And it provided a few minutes of entertainment.

HOLY SHIT! He just fucking nuked a PS3! WTF was he thinking?! I'd shed a tear if I actually owned a PS3. On a more serious note, the Dreamcast commericals reminds me of Reboot the cartoon. Sprites living inside a computer trying to beat the player at games.
Maybe my mind is tricking me, but did corpses in Halo move when you touch them? Cause I don't remember corpses moving when you teabag them in the previous Halo games.

haha, i have no problem with it being a PS3 [no, im not a 360 owner]. But, i do feel its pretty stupid to microwave plastic, metal & electronics. You can tell the dude is a bit retarded by the end of the video

Has no one here seen the youtube series "Is It a Good Idea to Microwave This?" It's the same sort of nonsense, but there's commentary. Its far more interestng that this one, they did an XBOX 360 last week actually.
