[Weekend Destructainment is a collection of funny videos brought together from all across the Internet to bring you entertainment on these slow and boring weekends.]
Oh, video editing, how you make everything better. This re-edit of the Van Damme movie, Lionheart, makes the film look like it's the ultimate version of Street Fighter II. Also, is it just me, or do you get flooded with nostalgia when you hear M. Bison's theme? Spotted on GoNintendo.
After the break, catch part of Robin Williams' latest HBO special where he makes fun of the Wii. Then Mega64 shows us how to deal with Holiday shoppers. Next, a guy tap-dances to the Super Mario Bros. theme. Next up, it's Team Fortress 2 LEGO style.
After that, TheSwitcher shows us the horrible direct cartoon companion to the Mortal Kombat movie. Then it's Brentalfloss giving lyrics to Final Fantasy music. Next, it's an old ad for Mortal Kombat: Deception. The Destructainment ends with Final Fantasy music being played at a wedding.
Robin Williams talks about the Wii from his latest special, Weapons of Self-Destruction. The Wii joke is at about the half-way point.

TheSwitcher shows us the stupidity of the direct to VHS companion cartoon to the Mortal Kombat movie.
Brentalfloss sings some Final Fantasy.

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meet the rest of the team
also holy shit, the Final Fantasy Prelude in the wedding is a fucking awesome idea. It's nerdy but works perfectly for those who don't know of them too.
The SF2 one was great, the Mega64 one I found funny (Probably because I've been working GameStop for 3 out of 4 days this December - Holy Hell), and oh god... the Mortal Kombat cartoon. I HAD that VHS. Not everything from the past is worth remembering...
Now that I think about it, having MK cartoons aimed at kids... wouldn't that be like if they put a series based on GTA on the Disney Channel?
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
As Lyon says, "Anythings possible."
Thanks, Shark Boy!
Now I feel like playing MvC or something...
The beginning of their story indeed.
