This first video was created by Thuyen and is the perfect example of why we all love video games so much: I've made this 5-minute film that celebrates all that's good in video games. In other words, a love letter. The film is called "The Most Powerful Person in the World," and has music by Lackluster. I hope you enjoy it.
It's a very serene piece that is definitely worth your time. Weekend Destructainment is back to its original style after last weeks epicness. First video after the jump, an interpretive dance set to Metal Gear Solid. Then a video of Mr. Destructoid running through a field (and something about lizard peoples). Next, a new edition to Weekend D where I'm going to throw in a random robot video every week. Next, the folks at ScrewAttack blow up some old school consoles. Then, the E! True Hollywood Story of Luigi and his evil ways. Next, the original Super Mario Bro's music and sound effects dubbed over with human voices. Then some hot Donkey Kong on Donkey Kong action. Finally, a video on rejected WiiPlay games such as Cii-section.

That was an incredly moving for me....and makes you think...I love it!
I meant the first video....
That Metal Gear Riverdance totally sucks donkey balls....
or was it the Donkey Kong sex that had donkey ball sucking?
I can't rememeber....
Wii Wii is SOOOO much fun!
too bad they didnt have Wii Abortion, i hear that was supposed to be better than twilight princess.
Best Destructainment I've seen yet! Whatever philosophy / algorithm / drug you use to select these, keep it up!
Whipped!!!
Whipped!!!
The first video, Fog City, and Rejected WiiPlay games were all total win.
THEY STOLE MY SEAL CLUBBING IDEA!!!
Very cool first video.
So many memories from that first vid, i nearly shed a tear.
That NES is hardcore (in the screwattack vid)
That first one was beautiful.
Ima chime in here and agree that the first vid got me all teary eyed.
My sister once grabbed my NES while we were playing(we wouldn't give up the only tv) and took it outside and slammed it against the concrete as hard as she could. I slapped her upside the head, grabbed my NES, plugged it back in and me and my friends continued playing.
@ The first vid:
FTW!! FUKKIN" SAVED!
ps and nintendo fanboy
That screwattack video was sort of ominously creepy, plus killing all those old console is just wrong. Rest of the videos were awesome, although I didn't watch the dancing one. Interpretive dancing isn't really my shebang.
brad drac: You didn't miss a thing by not watching it :D.
rbrooks: who are you talking about?
Ugly Phil: Thank you sir. You have to be slightly insane to be able to do this right. I watch a lot of shitty videos to get through the good ones. All the shitty ones I live for Sterling.
by live I meant leave. I need to sleep.
I lol'd at the Luigi story and the rejected WiiPlay games and wtf'd at the human voiced Mario and the Donkey Kong glitch.
As for the ScrewAttack thing... ok, I love ScrewAttack and all... but why, dear god why.
I'd already seen the Most Powerful Person In The World vid a week or so ago and it was just as awesome now as it was then.
Living in the DFW area, I feel the pain of shattered Maverick dreams. Not a big sports fan, but it's more about hometown pride I guess. There's always next year. But couldn't they have tossed in some Virtual Boys,3d0's and CD-I's in there instead of good stuff. Love the WiiPlay rejects, hehehe, female pleasure.
Just watched the first vid, at about 4:22 I thought they were going to bust out "In the Navy". My life has shortened.
Why was there no Art Attack Friday?
That wii play video was really good and so was the Luigi one but my it's general knowledge that the Mario bros surname is Mario, & Mario Segali was the landlord whos first name was taken for the famous nintendo character
