Yeah I caught shiny Pikachu in the Safari Zone on Sapphire. Problem was I had no idea what a shiny was at the time so I thought my game was glitched and deleted the file. I fail at life.
I've also ran into a shiny Onix in Soul Silver, didn't have any pokeballs at the time though.

I use a Flareon, one of the WORST fire types. Suck a massive attack stat, so few moves to use it.

I was so anxious during that Ponyta video... it took so long for him to actually catch and save the thing I was afraid the system would turn off before he had the chance.

I had a shiny at one point, I think it was on Ruby....it was a Golbat.
I was kind of excited when I caught it, and it was at a pretty high level as well (late-game).
But at the end of the day...it was still a bloody Golbat. >.>
Although it did fly my around all over the place as a Crobat.

Holy crap that was awesome, I honestly thought something terrible was going to happen, seeing as he was taking forever to save the game.
I've been there, unfortunately my affairs with shinies have been limited to a Wurmple and a Golbat, both kinda suck. They look crappy compared to their original forms too.
I hope this lucky man finally does something productive with himself though, so much money and time wasted on the same freaking version of Pokemon...

@NiNFAN1990, he looked for a shiny for two-thirds of a year, on three game paks, filming it every time he searched. He went through nearly 26000 pokémon just to find a shiny, which is just a bragging rights pokémon.
More power to him on what he does, but you saying that what he's done is more than what people around here have done is a bit silly. You don't know any of the commentators here. I don't know many of the people here, but they have done some pretty cool things. There's not much I can really say without insulting you, so I'll leave it there.

I was ready to make fun of that guy for having three GBAs, and two copies of the same Pokemon game, and listening to his 'favorite band' on Youtube...but I felt his excitement there. It was like Double Rainbow times one million.
