Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

[Weekend Destructainment is a collection of funny videos brought together from all across the Internet to bring you entertainment on these slow and boring weekends.]

Ubisoft held a short film Assassin's Creed contest where the grand prize winner would take home $10,000. Above is the winner of the competition and easily deserved first place prize. Learn more about the film over on Gaming Union. Thanks, Kyle! [Whoops it didn't win!]

After the break, Mr. T comes back to make fools play World of Warcraft. Then it's Paparazzi Punch-Out. Next, Cranky Kong was a jerk. Followed by an ode to Peppy from Star Fox. Then check out the great Mega Man 2 cover by Jam Project.

Next up is Star Trek: Rock Band edition. Followed by a new episode of Webzeroes where they have a gaming marathon. Then it's Contra: The movie. The Destructainment ends with the New Super Mario Bros. Wii Super Guide failing hard.

Mr. T promotes World of Warcraft again. Mohawk grenades!

Paparazzi Punch-Out.

Cranky Kong is a douche! Spotted on GoNintendo.

An ode to Peppy.

Jam Project covers Mega Man 2. So good.

Star Trek: Rock Band.

Revision3 Web series, Webzeroes, does a gaming marathon for charity. Thanks Jace and Eddy!

Contra: The movie.

The New Super Mario Bros. Wii Super Guide fails.

Honestly, I thought the Assassin's Creed video was pretty lame. No finesse at all when it came to the combat or kill scenes.

ahhh dirty trickery! I hope all sites don't start forcing you to turn off adblock plus to view videos.

Hmm, That super guide video R suspicious.

Mario on the map, blue toad in the game, hit super guide, does Luigi replace toad? No, it's still blue toad. THen he dies at the end of super guide, and poof, Mario on the map screen again.

Cranky Kong and Contra: The Movie were really well done :]

As for that Super Guide video, I'm assuming he's been modding it, considering he said that the reason Toad was the on the screen even with Luigi on the Super Guide is because of a skin.

I think this guys just fucked up the coding of the game by fiddling around with it and therefore it dies and doesn't expect Toads small jump (as Luigi can jump higher in any Mario game).

The AC:G video was well produced but a kid acting out a video game is kind of a disturbing premise. Also the acting was cringe-worthy.

As much as I enjoy mocking Assassin's Creed, those guys did a decent job for amateur film. Straight forward and to the point. It's kind of Channel101.com stuff, but that's certainly not a bad thing.

Ahh, I love anything that involves seeing parkour, I've been working on my own Assassin's Creed-inspired vids but obviously someone beat me to it. Then again, I've been putting it off for... like, ever.
